More focus and effort is required to address toxic work cultures; workplace bullying; poor occupational health and safety; mismanagement and insufficient governance amongst the Community Legal Centres across Western Australia. Given these centres are funded by public monies, such clownery and shenanigans erode the community’s trust in the legal profession and the law. It is time for the sector’s funding to be put to public tender in the public interest.
