Disappointed with the portion sizes of our online delivery order. We ordered 5 mains and 4 of them were in small half size containers. Poor value for the cost paid. Furthermore, the Mango Chicken dish had only 3 small pieces of chicken, it was 95% liquid sauce. The server obviously made a mistake when filling the Mango Chicken container- however when you receive a $176 delivery order you should take care not to make such mistakes or you will lose future high value repeat orders. The food quality was good and delivery was on time. The starters and various Naan were also good.

Very good service, the best, the guy is very prompt and considerate in getting us what we need. We ordered Manchurian and cholle bhature and it was delicious and authentic. We are a big foodie, from Sydney, having tried infinite number of restaurants in Australia and this one stands out. Hats off to everyone at Taj, highly recommended. If you are looking for genuine Indian food, look no further.

Hell yeah! So happy to have a delicious, authentic Indian place nearby. Dishes have amazing depth of flavour. Not just premade curry pastes used here. Maybe the best vegetable samosa I’ve ever had. Will definitely be returning. Also, marginally more affordable than the other Indian restaurants in Newcastle!

We were four very hungry girls that arrived only 20 minutes before closing time. However, they were so sweet to take orders from us anyway! Furthermore, the food was amazing! We would have given 6 out of 5 stars, if that was a possibility!

Have tried every Indian restaurant in Newcastle trying to find a tasty one since I moved here 2 years ago. Himalayan By far exceeds the rest. Won't go anywhere else now! Cheap aswell!

Love the taste of food here. Consistent great quality food. If you are vegetarian you must try Veg Manchurian and Paneer Bhurji from this place
