Whitsundays Rainforest Retreat
This place was truly amazing and exceeded my expectations for the price. I stayed twice, once in the mountain view room and 2nd time in the rooftop penthouse. The view is to die for. The rainforest is up close and personal with bird life. The penthouse is more geared to couples or close friends as there is an amazing marble open bathroom and rooftop for star gazing at night. No cooking facilities. Except BBQ.I would recommend a car as it's up quite a steep driveway and few kms from Airlie town centre, we were charged $15 on Sat for a lift into town, less than 5min drive!Pete was an excellent host, very friendly, prompt communication and help out with whatever we needed. Really enjoyed our stay there, so much we didn't even leave the penthouse on one of the days.

Staying here was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Australia. The owner was wonderful and very helpful. We went during slow season so we lucked out and got the villa all to ourselves and the owner upgraded us to the ocean view room which was very kind. The views are absolutely stunning. It was nice as well to have full kitchen access and they even have barbecues as well for guest use. The entire villa was very clean as well. Very close to shopping/groceries as well as close enough the shuttles to the ocean day trips so you don't have to worry.

I arrived just as Peter was driving down the drivewayIt was here that he tells me I've been upgraded from a room to a full house to myself, too much.Well I'm back home in NZ, I had a good stay. I like the set up, great for group bookings.I have to admit there were a couple things that bugged me personally, and the wifi didn't work (Peter did suggest going up to the main building), something about having trouble with their network provider.

I had a great stay at the Whitsundays Rainforest Retreat while on a recent solo trip - and highly recommend it. The villa style accommodation with self-contained rooms and communal living area included all facilities, was relaxing, modern, clean and had lovely views.Host Pete was very welcoming and had great suggestions for things to do in the area. Thanks and I look forward to staying again!

Great potential with stunning views and definitely can be a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. It seems like the house had known better days. Maybe it's the post COVID-19 but the maintenance level and cleanness should improve

We stayed in the honeymoon suite, it was 3 times as big as any room you'd want. Large bath and shower, plus a spa bath outside on the deck, to enjoy sunset spa and wine. Our host Peter was fantastic, super helpful and couldn't have done more for us.Great views and close to a shopping centre, including the suggested locals pub Banjo's, with great food and cocktails.Close to coral sea resort and marina for sailing trips and jetski tours, less than 5 mins from town.

Flew into Proserpine, for this fabulous stay in this wonderful location, we had the honeymoon suite and we were treated like royalty! We used the main house as our own and it was a fantastic experience, with use of the pool and BBQ's, shopped at Woolworths, for great fresh food. It is up a very steep hill, but Peter and staff were very helpful getting us to and from the small town of Airlie Beach. ..you really would not want to walk it ! We went sailing around the Whitsunday islands, and swam in the lagoon, three - four days are enough in this small town if I'm honest if you are looking for entertainment, but more time there would be fine if you are just there to relax. Thank you Peter and thank you for the lovely Scottish airport transfer guy, very efficient and very interesting, I think he was called John.
