Clairview Beach Holiday Park
Its a basic camping ground, but it has everything you need. Beach front, camp fire, showers, bar, little shop.. we always stop here on our way North and we always will. Just fantastic to see the sunrise from your tent. True camping.

Love this place. Beautiful food, served quick and cheap. Had lunch under a big tree on the beach outside the bar and restaurant. Would definitely go back and stay longer next time

One of the more interesting looking landscapes we’ve stayed at on the coast. When the tide is low it’s a rocky paradise of wildlife And mangroves. There are lounge chairs and palm trees as well which makes it feel more exotic. There’s a bar and restaurant and a huge kids playing area. The park itself is well laid out although the toilets could be quite far if you’re staying on the other side of the park. There are a ton of horseflies who didn’t seem fussed about our bug spray so be wary- the bites hurt! Good value for money.

Great little park for a night or two, has van sites and moderate cabins.Cannot swim here due to croc's but great views.Licenced bar and restaurant, meals are pub quality but always cooked well.Area out the back is mostly grassed and is for unpowered vans, camper trailers and tents etc.You can also have fires in your site as well.Great place to unwind.

We stayed for two nights. The unpowered are the way to go at $25/night as the powered sites are expensive when you basically only get power, as no sullage or drinkable water from from site taps. Drinking water is from rain water tank and only for filling bottles.Unpowered sites offer absolute beach frontage and are non pre bookable, being on a first in best dressed basis.Anenities are old but very clean and there is a bar, all be it very basic with music and food on a Friday night.Just a shame the bubbles ordered was flat with no offer of replacement or refund then on asking for a mineral water was given, and charged for, bottle water. We ended up cancelling the chips order and got a refund after waiting for 30 minutes and no chips. In saying all that, next time we are heading to Mackay or futher North or coming back we will be stopping for a couple of nights as we loved the views and serenity of it, even the occasional freight train passing only added to the atmosphere. There is also NO dump point.

Great place for a stopover/overnighter when driving from Townsville to Brisbane. Stayed in single non-ensuite room, good value, great meal at the restaurant/ bar. Tide was out, awesome beach walk to stretch the legs and beautiful sunrise.

Quintessential outback park. Close to a non swimming beach. Rough around the edges. On arrival I stood in the office well over 5 minutes while Sharon was on the phone. No acknowledgment. And no following apology. Also unfriendly later in shop. Cabin had no cups or anything for food. Barman fabulous. The cook and his food great!

Great place and superb location. Large sites and beachside spots available. Great bar and Bistro on site with a relaxed seaside atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff. Ammenities are a bit dated but clean, a dump point would be a big advantage.

The view at this park is to die for - situated right on the beach particularly on a full moon. However amenities for unpowered sites are abysmal and embarrassing but there are adequate amenities for powered sites which are available to others. The animal bar offers a couple of varieties of beer and a basic meal each evening but I can't recommend this park to anyone who requires access to a camp kitchen or half decent amenities close to their unpowered sites.
