We just had a fantastic meal at the Butterfactory restaurant.Maria is a wonderful host who talked us through the menu and was very friendly and helpful.This was our second time eating here after having a great experience one year ago. Sometimes visiting a restaurant a second time can be disappointing but not here. It was just as good if not better than last time.All of the food we ate was delicious.The home baked bread was soft and warm straight out of the oven. The seafood platters were sensational. Very generous sizes and a great assortment of tasty seafood. We barely had room left but we managed to squeeze some dessert in too.If you are ever around Pyree I highly recommend you visit the Butterfactory. Even if you are not it's definitely worth the drive.

Beautiful restaurant, beautiful location, beautiful ambience and the staff was wonderful, attentive and friendly. Ticks a lot of boxes.But and a big but, the food, was very disappointing. We ordered zucchini flowers, garlic bread, New York striploin steak and pork belly. None of the dishes were seasoned correctly, and steak was painfully dry and overcooked (we ordered medium rare). Same with pork, it was overcooked and dry, not juicy as it should be after 8 hours of slow cooking. See photos for reference.

Great food. We had the seafood buffet, which was good. Others had Goat's cheese tart which was delicious, Pork belly and seafood linguine were also very good. Desserts were also delicious. Would definitely recommend, also a nice country drive.

tried this place for a Sunday lunch. ambience is great, service is ok, food is average. Is it worth the drive? Not quite, the cafe next door is better in our opinion.

The worst food… I have hadWe ordered lamb, barramundi and pork belly. The food was so dry and meat was tough. It was cooked so so badly. The wait person knew we had not eaten our meals … and when we did inform her that the food was substandard … she just said that she will let the chef know. I guess it is a fair response but this place is supposed to be fine dining. I will never visit this place again.

Busy mid week during school holidays. Delicious fresh seafood platter $58 for two people. Great value. Smoked duck breast was divine; wish the meat was sliced thicker. Friendly hospitality even though they were super busy.

If there was a -100 rating I would of clicked it. The waitstaff were very lovely however the food was unedible. We got the Kafte and it was disgusting. I ordered the steak, asked for medium rare and got it well done with no taste what so ever. The price was ridiculously expensive for a horrible feed.

Amazing food at the Butter Factory and will be coming back for it. I’ve never been a tofu fan but the chilli tofu here, it’s addictive! I could have easily had another plate of it, it was perfect. The panna cotta (which I’m told is a difficult dish to make) came out perfectly too and a big thank you to the staff for making it extra special for my mum’s birthday.

Great find on the way, they serve fine food here with amazing views of farms and mountains. Pet friendly & garden fresh herbs & veggies also free range eggs. Nice set up and has both outdoor and indoors with ample parking. Will be back soon. Highly recommended.
