Woolworths Coolum

My review is one of complete satisfaction. I shopped at the store this morning and especially wanted to purchase gluten free Christmas cake slices boxed and found only one pack on the display stand at the end of Aisle 1. I wanted 3. After asking one of the helpful staff in another aisle she directed me to the Bakery who apparently organise the display of this product. There they were so helpful & obliging with a lovely young man leaving his station to search for additional packets elsewhere. After a comprehensive search not finding any extra above the racks I thanked him for his effort & proceeded to the checkout and midway through , the lovely young man from the Bakery appeared , holding the extra 2 packs I needed. He really went above and beyond his call of duty to help me, and I am elderly and now a really satisfied customer. Thank you to him especially, and to the Woolworths store for their staff efficiency and helpfulness.Ann Stevenson

Positive, negative, positive.Went to Woollies at Coolum yesterday to avoid the holiday crowds. Found the store scrambling, successfully, to try and restock. A fair experience, with bakery items stripped bare, some other items reduced in price for impending public holiday.However...Purchased, around 15:00 among other items, a hot chook which was to be eaten for dinner.Today both of us suffering chicken revenge with urgent and repeated trips to the toilet. Trips that were filled with extremely forceful events of high velocity and BBQ chicken feel about it.The finger cannot be directly attributed to the offending plastic encased foul, however doubt of its quality crept into our mind. As we were shopping for said chook, we took a photo of some drastically reduced item in the asian/indian aisle. Please see attached photo. It was taken and gave us a chuckle at the time. Little did we expect that our find and photo may have been indicative of the level of freshness generally.Please note item in store, in sealed pack and although reduced, could hardly be called a bargain with its green furry skin growing to a level of quality that Alexander Fleming would be proud of. (Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin)Attempting to finish on a high. Tummies are still not right, we didn't purchase the 'Naam dippers' so that saved us further grief and experience at register was pleasant.UPDATE UPDATE UPDATEI did the above review approximately a week ago, give or take a day.As we passed by the hot chickens... Definitely not tempted this week, we remarked on the lack of some items and abundance of others. With not a roll of toilet tissue in sight we ventured again to the Asian/Indian aisle to check on how the naan bread was going. As can be seen by second photo submitted, it's going well and not totally surprised, has not yet been removed. Understanding of shortages, including staff, I am surprised someone higher up the food chain within Woolworth's does not monitor the feedback pages of Google. After all they are the 'fresh food people'??

I have now on several occasions asked a team member for assistance to find stock. As they were busy packing for click&collect/direct to boot and that has been there primary focus they are not interested or able to help me. I am getting the impression that the face to face customer is now becoming less and less important to Woolworths.

Great shop, just prepare to deal with the snubs that live around there. Remember they go first. Haha

Everything you would expect, with lots of produce and lots of stock with a wide selection. They have a lot of products that cater for dietary requirements (which is epic) along with a bit of hot food available in the deli section.Staff are friendly and service is prompt. Huge parking lot for easy access.

Look, I wint to tha supamarket for some pineapple and coconut fisherman's friends and some red onions. Had a rude young man aged between 14 - 38 wheezing like he endured chest trauma. I simply asked him where the isherman's friends were but he denied they sold them. BUT I KNEW THEY SOLD THEM. angry I open the catalog (because i dont own a phone im the library computer writing this) to find the fisherman's friends they was clearly a page was missing more importantly the fisherman's section was coincidently missing. Now fuming I go to find the manager where the young man insisted that the manger was on workers comp due to a stabbing 14 nautical miles west. Now livid to the point of no return I left store giving the young boy I push to his sore chest and stormed out without my fishermans friends nor onions

Always greeted with a welcome and friendly smile from the guy in fruit & veg. It’s clear he loves what he does as he takes pride in the section looking amazing.

Went into Coolum store at 7pm to buy something from the deli and the lady was frantically packing away stuff and I went to ask for some prawns and the lady said sorry mate Im closing up the deli we haven't got staff so I'm packing up.I didn't dare ask to buy some prawns cause I could see she was taking them away and made very obvious she didn't want to serve me even though the store is technically open.If the sign says open til 9pm shouldn't everything be available?Nothing personal just not a good look for Woolies.Looks like it's back to Coles.

This Woolies definitely needs some work. A lot of staff members but not many of them actually working. 4 men in the same aisle just laughing and talking. Only one girl working hard at the register and for 10min there was a cracked egg on the floor which I stepped on and no one came to clean it up or do something about it. A lot of empty shelves and needs a lot of organisation and cleaning.
