Good experience, no need to go to these fancy shopping centre for a great hair cut

Had an awful experience. I asked for a trim to get rid of split ends (long hair half way down back) and ender up with my hair cut above my shoulders. The hairdresser said that long straight hair can look boring and kept insisting I have layers which I said no to. She clearly had decided to style my hair in a way I had not asked for. When I came to pay I was charged an extra $10 as we cut a lot off so it is considered a restyle". Not only did I not get what I asked for

I do not like to give negative reviews but sometimes there is no other choice.And this is one of the times where there is no choice!We moved to live in wheelers Hills which is a 40 minute drive from the hairdresser where I have had my hair cut in the last 15 years.I needed to look for a new hairdresser.I opened Google and found a nice place with good reviews.I had to share my traumatic experience from the disparaging attitude I felt in a place called Starfas Hair Design.I arrived at the hairdresser in a relatively quiet shopping center, I did not get to see the design of the place but I saw a clean hairdressers with a number of available chairs and a hairdresser working on a client.Her greeting was a loud and unpleasant question in an awful tone asking “how can I help you?”.I replied with a smile that I had made an appointment over the phone.She was an unkind aggressor and asked me to put on a mask and register at the entrance before she talked to me.I must point out that the place is open like in a mall and there is no door for me to open. And the registration is on the counter.Suddenly another girl comes out and with a smile says she will take care of me today and started to put a towel and apron around my neck, while she asks me what I want to do with my hair, I replied that I wanted to do blonde foils for half of my head.I mentioned my goal is to get back to the light blonde shades I had in my hair before corona.I have also told her that during the corona when there were no hairdressers I decided to take care of my hair and strengthen the hair roots with henna. She stopped, and asked how long ago had it been since the henna?I answered about a year agoHer reaction was that she was not going to take care of my hair because I have remnants of henna in my hair,I told her that three months ago I was at my hairdressers and got the shades and nothing had happened.I added to her that if God forbid anything happens, I will take full responsibility.Then they both started verbally attacking me.One said that no hairdresser with self-respect will touch my hair if he knew I had done henna a year ago.She added that she would rather give up a client than lose her business and damage her good name.And the second hair dresser intervened, adding that if something happened to my hair as a result of her work the insurance company would not cover it.I asked what do you suggest I do?She said you should let your hair grow or have a short haircut to get rid of the henna.I said with a smile, you do not expect me to be with grey hair until all of my hair is replaced, and she replied “I can dye you roots if you want.”I took off the apron she had tied around my neck, in dissatisfaction, and was hugely disappointed. It felt unfair and they had hurt my feelings unnecessarily.“No thank you, I did not want to ruin your good name”, I said and I went.You two have hurt my feelings and you certainly do not deserve my money.Or maybe go to learn what costumers service is all about.The next day my regular beautiful hair dresser fixed my foils and I’m looking blond and good again without any nonsense.

good haircut and pleasant service.

This is our Salon as we both get our hair styled to the way we want. We are given suggestions for style as well. Advice is given on hair condition, colour and cut. And there is the offer of coffee or other refreshments. Decor gives a look of professional operation and it is neat and clean. Staff are very personable and they make the client feel at ease. We look forward to coming here.

I discovered this place when I lived locally but now I travel just to get my hair done here. Courtney does a brilliant job and seems to be an all-round star with my colour, cut and blow-wave. I have never had a dissapointment. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Love this Salon!
