Great food & Excellent service. Went for $16 steak and beer night and the steak was cooked to perfection.Staff was very busy yet they made sure everyone’s taken care off.Well done guys.

This Merivale venue is a little old and seedy but the $16 rump/schnitzel with beer combo is one of the best deals in Sydney at the moment! The quality is great and the value for money is off the chart.There's also a nice carpark out the back so you don't have to worry about street parking.Service is great.

Lovely pub would recommend the steak dinner 16 quid for a steak chips salad and a drink sure you couldn't go to far wrong with that.

The current pop up restaurant at The Tennyson Hotel is Kingdom Of Rice. It’s Cambodian street food and some of the tastiest items on the menu are the skewers that you put in a roll and eat with pickled veg. The special fried rice is also a great dish and the noodle drops are definitely a win. The lilies have a strong lemon pepper flavour. A hero dish here is the calamari but ours was underdone and the chicken is a missed opportunity, it ‘s food but does not dazzle as expected. I still give five stars because these are minor faults and easily fixed by the pro team in the kitchen

I'd only recommend coming here for the cheap $10 250g rump steak, with choice of either mash or chips with salad. Can't really ask for much in terms of quality when it's that cheap and affordable.Tried the more expensive $24 T-bone steak, however I cant really say it was 'worth it' in comparison to the value you get with the rump steak.Staff was friendly and the place was fairly quiet when we went which was unexpectedly given it is a pub. But your experience will vary dependent on the time and date you visit.

Best steak in term of quality and price. Meat also taste food despite cheap price. Good place managed by Merivale Group. However not recommended to come with kids.

Affordable steak with a glass of beer for only $16.We definitely come here again even if we live in Stanmore.The only thing that I didn’t like much was the gravy but location wise and customer service were great.♥️I would say 4 and a half stars.♥️

I met a friend here for a quick catch up, we only ordered light food to share. wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce $14, also the chicken wings were on special $1.00 each minimum three ( these were spicy) even though the bar staff said that only the dipping sauce was( I cannot eat any spice). The menu is at the bar where you order and pay, staff bring the food to you There is no sign at the bistro saying this I had to ask.The pub itself was relaxing and enjoyable you were not rushed to leave.

Great food at a grate price at this pub! I love the pulled pork burrito! The staff are always friendly and very accomodating. A great range of food on the menu and close to a car park if u aren’t driving. Where you sit and eat has a strong smell of cigarettes which is a shame if you aren’t a smoker and the ladies toilets smell very bad for some reason! Recommend the food though!
