I highly recommend Avivo for their wonderful standard of care.Donna and Clive are both wonderful and amazing dedicated community support workers who for years have been my main domestic support helpers.Efficient hardworking easy to get on with. This agency has bent over backwards to be supportive to my needs, to always ensure that back up carers are available when someone goes on leave that I know. This organisation has literally been my mainstay of awesome support I could not cope without them. I highly highly recommend them to any person wanting to engage an agency that genuinely loves and supports patients.

Rebecca my friend has a chronic mental health problem and erratic sleep patterns. Rebecca tried 4 days in a row to get hold of support coordination with Sue Shirley or Sylvia upon recommendation. I do not recommend them at all. I was dealing with Rebecca in tears as they were totally unprofessional and slack, so I stepped in to help a friend with mental health problems. I had been ringing them for almost a week straight and it was not until I called their workers out for being slack that they took offense at this. Avivo's reception is useless and you have to repeat yourself several times about what you want and they don't pass on messages. I emailed Sue and asked her to contact me about sorting out the problem no phone call came and this was followed by an abrupt email that they would not take my friend for support coordination. I think when you work in the area of disability you need to take feedback on the chin - even if that feedback is not easy to take. Avivo has obviously has no interest at improving their services or take feedback and are impossible to contact. Highly unprofessional and slack! Do not recommend to anyone who has complex disability issues as you won't get the service you need!

I’ve been receiving support from Avivo since 2009. According to them my supports are classified as High Care. This last 12 months they have not been able to consistently cover my supports. I believe this is a direct result of their policy of working in local teams. This has been proven NOT to work. Avivo is no longer person centred.

Used to be great but the local team based approach doesn't seem to work.
