It was a bit of a wreck when a Movie Theatre forty years ago in the Rocky Horror days. The years since have not been kind. At least the air conditioning worked.

The Liberty Theatre
Exhumed is a great program as part of the Strange Festival 2023. The passion of the people involved is visible in the programming and the access to the amazing old 35mm films. The crew were amazing, friendly and helpful. 10/10

You would use the term theatre very loosely here. Seeing an hours show is ok though, fringe type festival stuff perfect.If it wasn’t for a dressed stage you would just be in a derelict building to be fair.On a plus side the aircon is fabulous, which makes up for the missing ceiling and walls that required repainting in the 80’s but no one bothered. without that aircon the place would struggle with one star.
