I purchased my first Audi today and had a wonderful experience with Mario and Audi Newcastle. I had a tight deadline to get a very specific model of which there were not many around. Mario went above and beyond to make sure he could source the vehicle for me and even managed to get it a week earlier than expected. The car is amazing and the service I experienced was excellent. Recently had my car booked in for some mechanical work at the service centre but left feeling ripped off and utterly surprised by the poor customer service and misleading information that I was given. I have had pleasant encounters with this service centre in the past however this time, my experience was very different.At the time of dropping my vehicle in, I mentioned the issues that my vehicle was experiencing including an alternator pulley oil leak, boot strut electric fault, low coolant level as well as other minor work.Much to my surprise, the initial quote I received totalled a staggering amount and immediately called the mechanic I was dealing with to clarify the cost and reasons as to why the issues had occurred in the first place. I was given the spiel of general wear and tear" even though the quote was no where proportionate to the actual work that needed to be completed.After multiple phone conversations with the mechanic relating to the outrageous quote total and warranty eligibility

Dropped my car for a major service at 8am. Received a SMS less than two hours later to say car was ready to collect even though they told me at drop off it wouldn't be ready until 3pm. Called the service centre to query the SMS and was told that the car was definitely ready to be picked up. Left work and drove 50mins back to dealership and was then told that it was a mistake and that my car had not even begun to get it's service. Told that they would call when ready to collect and that it should be ready around 3pm. Drove 50mins back to work. I advised the service department that I needed to be given enough time to drive in to collect vehicle as I was a 50min drive from dealership. Was reassured they would call with an update and give me adequate time to get back to collect vehicle. 3.15pm and I called as I had not received any update on when I could collect vehicle. Was told that vehicle should be ready by 3.45-4pm. Drove in to collect and waited another 20mins as vehicle was not ready. $2.5k service. Two front tyres were replaced and there was no attempt to clean any grubby marks off the wheels/alloys from the install. Pretty disappointed with being stuffed around so much. For a premium service centre, I honestly expected more.

It was my first time with Audi, I hadn't decided if I was to go with BMW, Mercedes, or Audi back then but dealer Mario at Audi was very professional and didn't give me any pressure, he explained very well what was best for me, very honest, and also so very kind and helpful.
