Alexander the great picture framing

Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but I was met with rude and short behaviour when asking for a quote. Won’t be back. (Clearly I’m a local with many reviews, this is not a fake review)

I received a fantastic service from Alex last week, and that was the second time I had something done from him. I couldn't find a better framing shop specially with his advice and the quality frames and a large range to choose from. I highly recommend this shop to everyone looking for a quality service and a smiling face.Thank you again Alex, my wall look so great !!

Its been my pleasure to have visited Alex and his wife at their Port Melbourne shop the last 10 years. They are delightful people with great care and customer service. Alex is a craftsman, he has repaired my shoes, framed important prints for us, and restored some of my most precious leather goods. I have had 100% satisfaction with his workmanship and the quality of the products and services. I highly recommend him for framing, shoe repairs, and leather restoration.

Alex and Ira are extraordinary. Not only did they do an exceptional job on the framing of eight pieces for a very reasonable price, but they also did a repair/restoration of a damaged painting, and restretched a canvas as well.We had a hand-painted and delicate Tutankhamen papyrus which had been rolled up, neglected for 25 years. Thanks to Alex, it has come alive and looks spectacular in its new frame.As much as you want to argue with him, Alex knows what he is doing. Trust his eye and his judgement because he truly loves art, and his educated suggestions for highlighting pieces will mean that you will be delighted, and truly love the results.

Amazing service. A true, honest business in a time where that is increasingly hard to find.I had an idea of what I wanted, and Alex was able to help me realise this exactly how I envisioned, while also providing his own advice and suggestions for a great finished product. His turnaround time absolutely surprised me as I thought it would take him much longer to get the job done.I had a quote from another framer nearby, who quoted me almost double the cost and more than twice the wait time for the same job. In hindsight, it's laughable that people like this can stay in business while true professionals like Alex are in the same area.I'll be recommending Alex and his beautiful wife to anyone I know who needs framing or printing work done, and know they'll be my first point of contact in the future.

I had a limited edition artist proof canvas shipped from the USA, when it arrived it had been badly damaged in the shipping process. Unable to ship the canvas back I took it to Alexander the Great and he was able to restore, stretch and frame my canvas so that you would never know it was damaged. Very pleased with the advice and craftsmanship of Alex and Irena when we recently had two special old watercolour paintings re-mounted. They look like new and Alex's choice of colour reallly lifted them. Fantastic work and very quick. Highly recommended!!

Alexander The Great is truly one of kind. His customer service is by far the best I have experienced in my 30 years of life. The quality in his work cannot be matched. He has stories about each and every piece in the store. Listen, and you will truely learn the magic of his work. It's spectacular.
