Singing lessons with Leanne Koska

Leanne is a patient singing teacher who meets students where they are in their singing journey, builds their confidence and makes singing fun. Highly recommend.

After years of wanting singing lessons, my husband organised for me to have one with Leanne. He definitely picked a winner! Leanne has an excellent knowledge of the technical aspects of singing, whilst also being skilled at explaining what to do in different ways until she finds a way that connects with her student. She will find songs to suit your voice/goals and she is friendly and easy to communicate with. I am very much enjoying my lessons each week thanks to Leanne's feedback and encouragement.

I learned to play violin growing up and, as I got older, I played guitar in some hobby bands. I always wanted to take voice lessons, and I decided to take the plunge with Leanne. It's been a great experience. Coming up on ten lessons, my technique is clearly improving. I have better awareness and control of my larynx, which has helped my ability to sing high notes with chest voice––something I have always struggled with. Leanne's also improved my ability to discern how performers are singing on my favourite recordings, which really helps if you're trying to reproduce a certain style. She moves easily from one genre to another: we've workshopped pop songs, musicals, and dabbled in jazz. I highly recommend her.

I can’t thank Leanne enough. When I first met Leanne I had no voice. She has taught me to be kind to myself & to be confident in my ability to sing.Yesterday after my sixth lesson with Leanne I recorded myself singing a cappella, and I actually loved how I sounded for the first time in my life.With Leanne’s guidance my voice just keeps getting stronger, clearer, more expressive & confident. This is also helping me so much in my corporate career, as I am overcoming my vocal anxiety, releasing all tension & fear.
