We are hereby forced to write a condemning review about the fraud practices done by OLSC staff in covering up the frauds and thefts done by their licensee solicitors during our property settlement.OLSC staff John M repeatedly ignored the financial fraud and misconduct done by Ehman and Byron (from byron Associates) even after we provided complete evidence of the frauds done by these solicitors. OLSC staff took over 18 months to reply about our complaint that too without any justification of responsible response to our critical complaints. We still have pending dues of our balances about $1400 and confiscation of our property papers by these solicitors (ehman and byron ) and OLSC has irresponsibly and whole heartedly covered up their deeds. We hereby place strict doubts about the needs of existence of OLSC and questions why taxpayers would need to tolerate such a fraud nexus. We are hereby publishing our reply to OLSC staff who has replied to us while ignoring all proofs and evidence against these solicitors.-------------------------------------Hi,Thanks for sending the response of review after 12 months and actually a reply to our complaint after 18 months of the property settlement.Your response and ignorance to the complaint is really a shame in every sense and practice. This is really interesting to know that each and every fact and communication has been provided along with this complaint and all the misconducts done by this solicitor (Mr Ehman and his supervisor Mr Byron) has been detailed in our complaint already. Still the members of this organization OLSC (Office of the NSW Legal Services Commissioner) have turned a blind eye to each and every fact. Two of the main things that we concentrated to be checked in our complaint since starting:1. Has Mr Ehman his supervisor along with OLSC been able to provide whereabouts of the amount of $1369.75 within the last 18 months? The clear answer is NOHave you provided ANY clarification on how the settlement calculations sound to be correct to you, in the entire period of 18 months? ABSOLUTELY NOTHas Mr Ehman (and Mr Byron) provided ANY clarification on how the settlement calculations sound to be correct to you ? ABSOLUTELY NOTDid you ever tried to arrange a phone contact with us to understand the matter or help us understand something that you could or could not find? NEVERDid you ask Mr Ehman (and Mr Byron) why they stopped responding to our emails when we tried to seek clarification about this gap of $1369.75 in settlement figures? NOIf they were so genuine in the settlement then they must be able to explain this gap, but they never did so and when we provided the facts and questioned them, they simply ignored the emails. If they were so correct then they should have explained the settlements gaps right away. Their ignorance and denial to provide explanation proves the intent of a very well-planned fraud.2. Has Mr Ehman and his supervisor along with OLSC sent or handed over our documents to us within the last 18 months? The clear answer is NODid you ask Mr Ehman and Mr Byron why they have not handed over the documents of our property till now? NEVERDid you ever tried to arrange a phone contact with us to understand the matter or help us understand how come they are justified to hold our property documents? NOThis clearly means OLSC has completely FAILED" in resolving the complaint and providing no justification and evidence of this entire matter to not be an absolute FRAUD. OLSC has proved to be absolutely "USELESS"

Joke! - Absolute Discretion has to go!I totally agree with the other reviews. There should be provision for no stars. I generously gift one star so the review can be published.Simply put, my solicitor was a dishonest thug.I provided honest, well supported submissions but the OLSC just ignored or misrepresented my information to favour the solicitor. It was a charade of an investigation. The Commissioner acted under what he called his 'absolute discretion'. He wrote to me and said ' Section 313(1) of the Uniform Law doesn't require an assessment of a matter on merits (being whether the decision was based on reasonable grounds). It is only if I decide to review a decision then those issues become relevant.'The Commissioner's 'absolute disrection' doesn't mean he can act arbitrarily, irrationally and ignore the Rule of Law to favour solicitors. This is legislation for lawyers totally looking after lawyers. NSW Parliament should be ashamed for creating this dictatorship. This legislation needs to be challenged. Please take the time to lodge a complaint to ICAC, the Law Council and your member of parliament. Enough complaints may raise concerns to parliament about the Commissioner's 'absolute discretion' in our cases. Please check in occasionally and click 'like' on the hand icon for similar reviews - numbers matter. Thanks!

A cost assessor from the NSW Supreme Court concluded that Swaab lawyers overcharged me by more than $26,000 (25% of my total bill) and failed to provide a cost estimate on time. OLSC felt this was within the limits of acceptable conduct and therefore didn't issue any disciplinary action. This is why lawyers behave unethically - there are no consequences.

I have recently received a poor response from OLSC as well. I submitted a complaint about a high profile lawyer who took me for over $10K for composing a letter where I provided the majority of the information. The OLSC says that it may be negligence. So, OLSC is in fact saying that the lawyer might have made a mistake? As lawyers working in OLSC, surely they would know the difference between Negligence and Intent.Upon reading the other reviews on here, I will be referring this to NSW ICAC. I encourage everybody else to do the same.

Absolute waste of time. ZERO stars. I lodged a complaint in April 2022 to only receive an unsatisfactory response 8 months later! Don't waste your time or energy, simply accept the OLSC supports the damaging practices of conveyancers. Don't know how the lot of them sleep at night.

Sadly I can’t give a zero rating. OLSC disregarded documentary evidence that showed my former solicitor made false and misleading statements to the OLSC in response to my complaints. They cited another statement by the solicitor which had nothing to do with the false and misleading statements, and then dismissed my allegation; declined to review their error in judgment. In court, it would have been perjury.

The OLSC deserve no stars. They are criminals & black is not black anymore. Everyone is sooooo corrupt especially in the OLSC but it wasn't always like this. I wonder how much the Commissioner is getting paid off?? This department use to operate with Integrity!!!

Do not waste your time. All of the reviews are one hundred percent accurate. This facade of an organisation is designed to create the illusion that lawyers can get reprimanded for their poor behaviour. Make no mistake, this is an organisation created by lawyers to protect lawyers at every turn. A brief glance at the OLSC annual report shows you the level of inaction taken by this archaic dinosaur against lawyers. The industry needs a massive shake up and a regulator that isn’t pandering to lawyers.
