My fiancée and I went to Adelaide Wedding Dance for our wedding first dance. Getty was absolutely amazing and made us feel very comfortable. Getty choreographed the perfect wedding dance for us. My wife and I enjoyed all of our dance lessons and look back on them fondly. We would highly recommend to other couples!

Booking wedding dance lessons with Adelaide Wedding Dance was one of the best choices we made! We did over 40 wedding dance lessons with Getty and Manuela over about three months, and during that time, we also joined in the bachata fusion classes taught by Oscar on Saturdays. The team were very accommodating and worked flexibly around our availability, to get us ready in time for our wedding!Getty, Manuela and Oscar are welcoming, fun, friendly and enthusiastic, easy to get along with and always up for a chat and a laugh. Whenever we went to a lesson, it felt like we were being greeted by friends and it was always a fun time.We always looked forward to our dance lessons as the highlight of our week. We felt like our lessons were kind of like a date night where we were setting aside time each week to spend time together doing something fun and special.Manuela and Getty are incredibly talented choreographers and dancers, and they went above and beyond to choreograph our dream dance! They took into consideration our requests, the vibe we wanted, the moves we liked, the amount of time we had, our chosen music, our skill level and our personialities, to put together choreography that was unique and felt like it suited us perfectly as a couple. They were patient with us when we were learning the steps and polishing our technique, and they gave constructive feedback in a way that built up our skills without overwhelming us.Oscar is an amazing dancer and it was a pleasure learning bachata from him.The bachata classes were always good fun and great for building our confidence and dancing skills. We were even able to incorporate a few of our favourite bachata moves into our wedding dance choreography!Getty also choreographed a father-daughter dance in a very short amount of time. She did such an incredible job! She was gentle and patient and made the experience enjoyable and as smooth as possible.Our wedding dance was one of the highlights of our wedding day. It was so much fun doing the dance on the night and Getty and Manuela prepared us so well that we didn't feel nervous and were able to just enjoy the moment! We have had so much positive feedback about the dance from our wedding guests. They can't stop talking about it, and we can't stop watchng the video of our dance! My husband and I both had no experience in dancing at all. We were just wanting some guidance for our dance and to do a few lifts. Getty, Storm, Manuela all gave us so much confidence and guidance to come up with our own routine which were were able to execute on our Wedding night and wow all our wedding guests. They helped us bring our vision to light and we are very grateful/would highly recommend their service!

We were 8 weeks out from our wedding when we decided to seek professional help with our first dance. We were a little hesitant at the start as we felt that we haven't left enough time to learn our first dance but decided to give it a shot and see where our first lesson will take us.We had our song and a YouTube video of some choreography moves that we liked and sent it to Getty for reference. We had Getty for our introductory lesson and she was so friendly and put us at ease instantly. She ran us through some basics and talked us through the entire process. What we really appreciated the most was their willingness to make it possible for us, they gave us a huge selection of dance sessions so we are able to achieve our desired dance.We had Oscar as our main dance instructor throughout. The first few lessons were definitely daunting as it felt like we both had two left feet but we were determined to master the dance moves. We ensured we were allowing time every night to do at least 5 practice runs, which we found were really helpful in remembering the steps as well perfecting the moves. Repetition definitely helped! Oscar was so patient with us as we fumbled through our dance lessons but most importantly he always ensured we're learning from our mistakes.Our weekly lessons became something we both really looked forward to. We were always greeted with friendly faces on arrival.Our first dance on the wedding night was amazing! Our guests were absolutely impressed and we couldn't have done it without the help of Oscar and the team.We would highly recommend anyone to book their dance lessons with them if you are still hesitant. The entire team will work with you and make anything possible! Do note you might have so much fun that you have withdrawal symptoms after your lessons are all over! Our wedding was well over a month ago now and every Wednesday night we don't know what to do with ourselves now that we have no more dance lessons haha!

My wife & I were worried about how we would get a choreography together for 3 minutes in the short time we had. But the staff at Adelaide Wedding Dance were committed and encouraging to help us get the job done.It was exciting that eventually we got it all together and had an impressive performance at our final dance session.The staff were always respectful and polite & very punctual. We could not of asked much more from our experience at Adelaide wedding dance. It was such an inviting and fun experience. Our teacher Getty was warm and welcoming and fun. Each week she worked around our busy schedule to find a time that suited us and was very patient with our left feet. She perfected each component of the dance for us so it could be captured beautifully on the day and any point. We look back at our lessons in the lead up to our wedding fondly and that’s thanks to Adelaide wedding dance. We highly recommend.

At first, we weren’t sure if this was something we wanted to do as we didn’t want to look too fake/choreographed. But we also didn’t want to stand awkwardly on the dance floor and sway side to side for 2 minutes either. After our first meet up with Getty, we felt more at ease and wanted to give it a shot. Turns out, it was so much fun not only as something to work together towards for the wedding, but it got us off the couch on Saturday mornings (extra points for being a fun 1.5 hour workout together too). Initially we were only going to do 20 lessons with no mash up but decided on 40 lessons and so glad we did especially as we had the time to do so. We loved that Getty brought out the elegance in us through her choreography but allowed us to also add personal touches throughout the routine. Our wedding dance turned out AMAZING. We kept it a surprise for over a year so on the actual night our family and friends were floored by our dance! And it was even better having a mash up to show off our attitude and sass! Some of our couple friends have even said we have set the standard and that it’s “game on” for their wedding. Throughout the lessons, we did “show and tells “where we performed in front of other couples. Honestly, thought this was super embarrassing at first but we did it so often that it helped with our nerves on the actual night. If any other couple has come across this review because you’re unsure, we say to just dive right in because it was one of the best things we did for our wedding and one of the most enjoyable/stress-free prep for the wedding. Neither I nor my partner had ever done any dancing or dance lessons before – we both have two left feet! We really wanted a personal first dance made just for us, while still tailored to our very low skill level. Getty at Dance Amor (Adelaide Wedding Dance Lessons) helped us learn how to dance at a basic level and then created a totally unique and suited to us first dance. We really had fun going to dance class each week, it didn’t feel like a chore, it was a nice bonding experience and we enjoyed learning a new skill. Practicising our dance in front of other couples at the dance studio was incredibly helpful in building our confidence. On our wedding day, our first dance was one of the biggest moments that we will always remember. It helped us feel confident and like the stars of the show. Getty, Osar, and all the team at Dance Amor are true professionals who really love what they do and put in 100% effort to each individual couple and their dance. We highly recommend them for any couple thinking of either learning how to do standard dances (e.g. waltz) or to have a choreographed routine!
