Quick as a Flash
Please do not go there. Worst place ever attended.I would explain, eventhough its a waste of time again. I don't want other people to go through such a frustrating situation. One week ago I went to quick as a flash to take a photo my 2 year old for her passport. After taking photo owner double checked it and guaranteed that would meet the criteria for the passport. Since I forgot to get a digital copy I went again there yesterday to get the same.Owner told me that he won't give the digital copy in emails but he can give it in a USB and he will provide usb for ten dollars. I agreed and also at the same time took a photo for my 6 year old for his passport. He gave only my sons photo in the USB.Then I asked him about 2 year olds digital copy. He said thats already deleted. If you need it take another one paying full amount. Then he took 50 dollars for my sons photo and its digital copy.He said for taking photo 20 dollars for digital copy 20 dollars and usb 10 dollars. And the best part is today when I went to the post office to apply for my passport staff said my two year old baby's photo doesnt meet the criteria as it has shadows of light on one side of it.I regret myself now bcoz I didn't go through previous reviews on this business.Hope this helps atleast some one who take time to read the reviews

Have been here twice. Once for a French passport photo for an infant, and again for a Canadian passport photo for a toddler. He was able to work with the kids and produce the correct size photos.. which are different from the Aussie standard. No mucking about, just in and out. Easy. Nice guy too.

I wish I could recommend this place for passport/visa photos, but I really can't. I'm just passing through Gladstone and needed photos taken for a US visa application. The owner was quite friendly, telling me it will cost $25 - more than reasonable in my mind. He quickly took a photo, edited it to size and printed it out. When I asked if I could also have a digital copy, he said that would be an extra $20. Considering I'm providing the USB drive, I'm not sure why that extra charge is warranted, but I paid it as I needed both the digital and physical versions. The real issue is that the photo didn't meet the specifications of the visa office - when I tried to upload the photo to my visa application, I was repeatedly informed that the head positioning was incorrect and I would need to get a new photo. I went back to see the owner here, and he seemed perplexed, saying that he has done hundreds of US passport/visa photos and they have always worked. We took two more photos, edited the photos in three different ways, and they all came up with the same error message. Another customer came in and I could feel that the owner was losing his patience with my requests that we try again, so I decided to leave it at that.I was feeling pretty frustrated by what felt like wasted money, but more importantly wasted time, and I decided to try to have a photo taken at an AusPost branch. I went to the Tannum Sands post office, the lady there took a number of photos, and gave me both the digital copy and the physical copies - taking about 15 minutes and costing me $20 rather than $45. Unlike the photos from Quick as a Flash, the photo from AusPost met the specifications of the visa office, and I was able to successfully upload that photo to my visa application. The owner of Quick as a Flash seems like a nice enough man, and I really don't like giving poor reviews of small businesses like his. I'm sure that it is worth visiting this business for other sorts of photo requests - family portraits, etc. But this whole experience left me feeling frustrated at wasted time, money, and energy. I haven't figured out exactly why his photos didn't meet the requirements of the visa office, but it's also not my job to figure that out. I would not come here again for passport/visa photos.

The first time I came here owner sat on phone and ignored me for 20minutes eventually I got fed up and left. Second time I came back to get passport photos for my newborn and they were denied by passport office. I returned to get repeat photos and he didn't have any patience with taking the photo as my child was fussy. He gave us 10seconds literally of trying to calm her down and told us to just take the photo ourself at home or go to a different post office and try the first photo with them. Terrible and rude service.

Creepy, rude and unprofessional and to top it off TERRIBLE quality printsI had an awful experience with this creep and will not be returning for business nor recommending. “Quick as a flash” took 3 weeks to get my prints developed and when they came back they were incredibly faded, with lines all through every photo. He was in denial that anything was wrong with them but obviously the printer was really low on ink or broken. Another week goes by he tells me the printer is fixed, I come in to collect and the prints are exactly the same. I then stand around the shop for 45 minutes while he shows me my images on 3 different ancient computers, to which I can see they are fine which means it’s the printer that needs help. Patience is wearing thin, I ask for a refund which I am denied ($30) So I ask for the photos to be provided on a USB so that I can take them elsewhere like office works or k mart to print there instead. He then tries to keep my prints! (Which I have paid for) that are special and private to me including naked pregnancy photos. I have to grab them off of him telling him I’m not comfortable with him keeping naked photos of me, to which he replies.. “well I’ve got them on my computer so I will just keep them there then”Very creepy, unprofessional and a breach of privacy. Extremely inappropriate and a violation of privacy/trust. Don’t waste your time or money on this business

My mother visited the store for passport photos, the owner mentioned that there are no refunds at the time the photos were taken. But given they do passport photos my mother believed there would not be any issue. She proceeded to submit her passport application which was declined as the photo did not meet the requirements.
