Surprisingly, Port Adelaide has this incredible place that showcases a range of railway train models. This is a place not to miss when visiting the city. The staff are very friendly. The place is clean. Visitors will have the chance to see the interiors of some of the railway trains. A great educational place for a family to visit. The visit would probably take 1.5 hours. It has cafeteria inside to recharge.

The staff are very knowledgeable about trains. The exhibits showcase the vast history of the SA Railways and the steam train ride is a great way to finish off a visit to this museum.

Had a lovely afternoon reading all about the history of railways in SA and experiencing the cabins of these beautiful trains! Finished with the little train ride around the museum. Highly recommend for a family-friendly day out.

Absolutely amazing Musuem full of railway history and artefacts from the South Australian Railways right through to the present railway era. NRM host the family fun fair during the second week of the school holidays.

Awesome place for both kids and adults! If you're a fan of Thomas the tank engine you can nerd out here! Recommend getting the family pass if you're an Adelaidean and have young kids. A couple of visits and it's paid for itself!

If you are a train lover, it is really worth going ! Love how you can see both exterior and interior of many of the trains. Lots of interesting history.Only sad thing was that the day we went was too hot for the big train ride, only the mini kids size train was running :( Just means we will have to come again!!

Relatives took us to visit museum and we were very impressed by the old trains that they have on display. If you’re spending some time in Adelaide then you should definitely put this place on your must visit list.
