Jason is an incredibly talented photographer who is really capable of capturing the moments which you will cherish for a lifetime. He is definitely the top Sydney photographer in my eyes, and I would have no hesitation in recommending him for your special day.

We would thoroughly recommend Jason as a wedding photographer! He took the time to get to know us beforehand, and this meant that we felt much more relaxed on the day. Jason also helped us to decide what time of day would be best for taking our photos, and we felt very comfortable knowing his depth of experience in wedding photography.

Deciding on a wedding photographer for us, was one of the most important aspects for our wedding day. We took this job very seriously and did a heap of research. Our options in Canberra were fairly limited so we looked a little further to photographers in the Sydney region who were willing to travel. We found Jason De Plater and after a brief meeting, a recommendation from a friend of a friend, a facebook, instagram and website stalk as well as a phone call we had him locked in for our special day! Everything was super smooth. Payment reminders came in the form of an email and his website was really quick and easy to use. We spoke on the phone a couple of times in the lead up to our wedding day to plan the timing and execution of our wedding day and photographs. Jason gave us heaps of advice, tips and tricks for the day. He obviously has a lot of experience in photographing weddings. My now husband and I were a little nervous about our wedding photos as we have never had professional photos taken before and were worried we would be super awkward in front of the camera, however Jason made us feel so comfortable and most of the time was a fly on the wall. I cant really remember him being there throughout the day really, and after receiving our wedding photos back we really cant believe all the incredible angles and photos he got despite being so ninja and inconspicuous. We cant recommend Jason more highly so anyone looking for a wedding photographer, or even just a photographer in general. He really looked after us and made sure we got all the shots we really wanted and much much more! He made us feel really comfortable and relaxed and we actually had a heap of fun with him after our ceremony!

Jason was excellent from the initial meeting, planning through to our big day. He made us feel comfortable with the lead up and in front of the camera; a photographer who knows what they are doing and with a smile. Beautiful pictures, capturing the atmosphere of the place equally as well as the emotions and memories. Highly recommend commissioning Jason for your events.

Jason is an amazing wedding photographer and we can't recommend him enough! Like most couples getting married during COVID, we had to reschedule our wedding a few times and Jason was flexible, understanding and kind every single time. When the day finally came, he was a true professional - Jason did his research to thoughtfully plan out the timings and places and his art direction on the day was fantastic. Also not to mention, he is easy to work with and super friendly which made the whole day a very pleasant experience. Thanks again Jason!

Jason photographed our elopement recently and did an AMAZING job! Not only did he capture the day perfectly, but he listened to what we wanted - being both flexible and understanding - and ensured we were happy with the process from start to finish. He was extremely professional and quick to respond; and was able to capture a TON of beautiful photos on the day without us even realising he was nearby snapping shots! We so appreciate the stunning photos Jason captured, and are very impressed with the end result - we're finding it hard to choose our favourites!!
