Visited because of its great location overlooking the sea. Fast, friendly service. Food was excellent (perfectly cooked calamari). Good range of wines and beers. Only missed 5 stars because the (gents) toilet was less than impressive!

Meals were OK, but nothing exciting.Service was slow despite the pub being quite empty.I ordered an entree calamari, but they gave me the full meal instead, and presumably, I paid for the main size too. Was not happy as i wanted a small lunch.Nice views of ocean.Would suggest people try other places in town.

The food was lovely and affordable as well. The salad was good, fresh and not soggy. The place is near the ferry terminal and accessible to have a quick bite.

Overall had quite an unpleasant experience - we booked days in advance to dine in at 5.30pm (as soon as the restaurant opens) in order to be in time for our ferry at 7.30pm. When we walked in, it took the busy waiters a while to notice us and ask whether we have a table, our ‘reserved’ table was one without a view and it took a shocking 50min for our meals to arrive. Despite politely asking the waiter/waitress when our meals will come as we need to go check-in, they responded rudely with ‘there’s problem in our kitchen’ and ‘we’ll put the food in take away boxes if it’s any longer’. No apologetic attitude whatsoever. The food was average- peri peri chicken was charred and bland, the curry was barely a curry. The only thing that’s acceptable is probably the sweet potato chips. Another thing is when we initially wanted to order dessert, we were told that the food portion is HUGE and we won’t be able to fit in any (which wasn’t the case). Maybe they already know the kitchen is bombarded with orders and can’t keep up? I understand you are the only restaurant close to the ferry so the completion is scarce, but perhaps having a sign saying customers need to be aware of the 1hour waiting time so they can catch the ferry in time?

Reasonably priced good tasting pup food. Outside dining available with great views from the deck. You may need to book for dinner as the venue is situated close to the Sealink ferry terminal back to Cape Jervis

We were at the end of our tour and was set to roam and organise our own dinner. We scooted up quickly to this hotel as it stood proud at top of the hill.Given that they were bombarded with a big tour group as well as already existent customers they handled themselves well and remained helpful and polite. We were directed to a table and notified the person taking our order that we were due to catch a ferry in about an hour and they were so obliging. Not only was the service brilliant but the food was great as well. We had a glass of wine from the local vineyard we had just attended (False Cape) with dinner and we were satisfied for sure. I just have to add that the fish was perfectly battered. Sometimes batter can be too much but these guys had the perfect balance.Highly recommend

Unfortunately my steak (Porterhouse) had to be sent back as it was mostly gristle and fat, they cooked a second one which was better but not great - still quite fatty and gristly. We were told it's under new mgt and the quality and portions have suffered as a result. There is a new chef also. Photo is of second steak. Also two of the plates were chipped. The service for drinks was slow and confusing ordering at the bar. Overall a disappointing experience. Staff were great and the view is amazing.

We had a ferry to catch and the staff made sure we had our meals in time. The schnitzel was huge and cooked well. The Thai beef curry was average. Great view!
