Carleton Custom Upholstery

My mum had her 25 year old lounge recovered recently by Carleton Upholstery and the result was amazing. Patrick was very accommodating and reliable and the workmanship of the staff was brilliant. We would recommend this company going by our experience in dealing with them and the end result.

Hard to give a review on their quality and workmanship when we have struggled to even get a return phone call or email.

Waited 6 weeks after being promised completion in 3wks was told fabric held up in customs very disapointed in workmanship sent it back .was supposedly fixed but not much had change was told what did I expect as leather very difficult to work with but so is this company not satisfied with workmanship was told I was just being difficult would not recommend them

Beware of using this company - over-promised and under-delivered. Rep Patrick was slick and convincing when quoting to repair and re-upholster our 8 tub chairs but it went downhill from there. They had the items for 2 months, and it took multiple calls to get responses, to be fobbed off with excuses. The chairs superficially looked ok when they were finally delivered, but we soon found they were shoddily repaired - screws missing, sharp tacks protruding, and dodgy packers installed. It took ages to get Patrick to come to collect them again, and he grudgingly acknowledged the obvious slack workmanship. They had them another 4 weeks! On return he said they’d “gone over and above” to properly fix them. The next day one chair back popped out. Unbelievable. Will never use this company again. Patrick is particularly sleazy.

I recently had several pieces of vintage furniture reupholstered, including a Parker two seater sofa, a Van Treigh grandfather chair and numerous cushions for other chairs and couches. The chair and sofa are stunning. The workmanship is impeccable. The cushions for the dining suite were slightly too large, but Patrick took them back corrected the cut. They look fantastic. Overall, I’m very happy with the work of Carleton Custom Upholstery.

Beware! We paid a 50% deposit to have our sofas covered then waited weeks and weeks for the fabric to come in. Our phones calls went unanswered until I used a friend's phone and my call was answered immediately. The company refused to refund us our deposit until I threatened to take them to the small claims tribunal. Proceed with caution!

I am an upholstery business Nicole's Upholstery" and patrick contacted me to do work for him. Even though he has written on a sign "NO OUTSIDE CONTRACTORS USED" what a joke..do yourself a favour people and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Dear Patrick, You and your team did wonders with my mid century furniture and made it look new again. Great to have this old furniture given a second life. It’s even more comfortable to sit on than it was before.

Using Carton was one of my biggest mistakes, I wished I'd never come across them.Anyone thinking about using them please do your research first.

Believed we would get our chairs reupholstered and restored to their full glory of comfort. Cushion size, springs and overall padding very suspect.
