My daughter has had an extremely positive experience with Rachel over the past 18 months. Rachel is clearly extremely competent in her teaching and also really dedicated in this area. The improvements we have seen in our daughter’s spelling and understanding of words has been extraordinary. It has also really helped her confidence in school. We can’t thank Rachel enough.

We tried a number of tutoring companies and individuals to help our child with their writing and spelling - all they could offer was revision and more activities like the ones they were getting at school (essentially, more of the same material that wasn't working at school). This didn't resolve the core of the issue - that my child had gaps in their language learning and would struggle to progress if they weren't addressed. Rachel from Joy MSL helped SO MUCH! She started with a comprehensive assessment and then a program of support that targeted the areas my child actually needed help with. Rachel is a professional and kind person who was able to get on well with my child and help my child to catch up in a very short period of time. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Rachel is very friendly and very easy to work with. My child is happy to attend and has made some very good progress. I believe the money spent is worth it as it truely shows you the child’s ability as the sessions are one to one without interruptions as is normally the case in a classroom setting.

Rachel is an absolutely amazing tutor. Rachel is kind, funny, and has a warm presence that really makes the kids feel at ease and comfortable. When Rachel started working with both my kids (both of whom are also ADHD), neither of them could spell very well or make the appropriate sounds very well when trying to sound out words aloud. After a short period of time, the improvements were huge and I even had comments from their school teachers about how much they had improved in relatively short period of time. Rachel is definitely the person you want if you're looking for that extra bit of spelling/writing help for your kids.

After an educational assessment I was recommended Joy Multisensory Learning for tutoring my 14 year old.I’ve found Rachel to be amazing, not only has she a brilliantly warm personality who is able to connect with my daughter but her methods and teaching have highlighted significant shortcomings in my daughters previous education. Rachel very quickly picked up these huge gaps and is working through them with my daughter and while we’ve only been seeing Rachel for a short time, I could immediately see the positive impact she has and will continue to provide.
