I have worked for Closer Care for almost a year now as a Psychosocial Support Worker.During this time I have been impressed with the service Alineh offers the NDIS participants making sure she matches participants and PSW so that they receive the support they need. Alineh also takes great care of her team offering staff training, staff catch-ups via zoom, and yoga sessions so that the staff get to know each other and build a strong team. Closer Care have an amazing and diverse team of workers, with their own unique styles, dedicated to a holistic yet practical way in the delivery of NDIS care. As a primary Carer for my adult son who has suffered from acute mental health issues for 27 years, I worry less, knowing my son's needs and care are being met by Alineh and her talented, professional team.Lately my son smiles and laughs more than he has in quite a while. He is highly intelligent which mixed with mental health can be quite a challenge for care givers. I have worked for Closer Care for one year and it is a fantastic organisation to work for. I was supported to develop my own skills and currently do psychosocial support along with administrative assistance for Alineh Agon (founder). Closer Care ensures all new staff members have the right qualities to be Disability Support Workers and provides ongoing training on mental health. Alineh is an attentive manager who is always on hand to answer queries and provide guidance. Closer Care enables Psychosocial Support Workers to engage in meaningful dialogue with Support Coordinators to fully assist the NDIS participants that they support. Along with the previously mentioned training, Closer Care does a great job at checking in with staff to ensure they feel supported and connected with the wider Closer Care team. NDIS participants can access Closer Care services including support from mental health support workers, art therapy, sensory therapy and regular social meet ups. NDIS participants do not need to worry about Mental Health Support Workers who are not up to the job. Their needs will be well served by Closer Care.

I work for Closer Care, Disability Support as a Psychosocial support worker in mental health. I find my job extremely rewarding and satisfying especially having the opportunity to work with NDIS participants living with mental health issues every day knowing that I can make a difference to their lives by assisting them with emotional and practical support, community reengagement, reaching their goals, companionship, attending appointments and much more ;-)
