I cannot recommend VicWide fencing for their services or workmanship!We have been involved with them since September and after 2 letters of demand to get the work completed we still only have 80% of the fence built. With various delays and commitment dates set by VicWide themselves being broken I am now filing our case with VCAT after consulting with ACCC & Consumer Affairs as they have not upheld Sections 60, 62 of Australian Consumer law along with the right of “accurate information” linked to the products, install process and timeline given. The fence itself has delayed almost a month and taking nearly a month to get to it’s current state (Incomplete) while we were assured multiple times it’s a “2 day job, 1 day for posts, the other for panels” This has not been our experience. Also almost all panels have been damaged during the install in one way or another (photos attached) with 1 panel poorly manufactured, as soon as the panel was installed upright the post all dropped down a couple of mm and now expose the metal and break the powder coat. The panels have also not been installed the right way, some have the weld joints in the front and some in the rear (Which is the right way to install them), this should have been seen or at least supervised to not have happened. We have always had to follow-up on Vicwide to understand the status of the the install or to check if they were coming on the day, clear communication has been some of the worst I’ve experienced bar none, they will respond but very rare to properly plan ahead. As a company who makes you pay 50% upfront and then blows past 3 delays in getting started, then fails to delivery on the repeated 2 day install to then push the whole job out to a month and still not be completed with no timeline of what happens next, this is not acceptable. I have no idea if the panels are made, the “powder coater” is being chased up but it’s 2 days from Christmas… are they even open. The powder coater excuse is one we been told by VicWide for the past month anyway so there nothing there I can believe, but If I assume they shut down as most businesses do then my install may not finish until well into January. Deposit was paid at the start of October!!Very disappointed in this whole experience and want to share this here so others can be made aware. This is not OK, this is not how a business should treat a customer, this is not what good service or quality of work looks like.

25/9 Paid 50% deposit31/10 Scheduled start dateDid not turn up, no advise given. Found out because I contacted them.5/11 Was told will be done  and finished the next day. Did not turn up again, no word from them. Messaged and called Alex no reply as to when it will be done.Finally started sometime that week, we just saw the posts up don't know exactly when, no info was given ahead of time. Left the job at about 2/3 finished and we have already moved in to our new home by this time with an unfinished fence.14/11 Really pissed off at this stage because of no communication on when they will come back to finish the job.16/11 Finally turned up and finished" the job except they left 2 post uncut to the right height. Pointed it out and the fencers said they will have to return because they don't have the tool they need. Held off payment of that side and surprisingly it was done quickly!3 weeks after all of this

Terrible terrible job, where after 18 months in November 2021 the fence started to lean. We are now in January 2023 and after a year of chasing them through weekly emails and phone calls they still have not fixed the fence. They say they'll come and then just won't show up. Please go with any other fence company and save yourself the hassle and your money.

Alex and Alysha are very courteous, responsive and attend to calls and emails promptly. The quote that I got was great in comparison to others in terms of terms and cost. The team were scheduled to come in on Wednesday, they arrived on Tuesday (day before) to do some prep work. Alex passed by as well to introduce himself and check on the site. Wednesday the fence and gate were installed. All the leftover material were taken away. Very happy with the service and quality. Top value, great experience.

Waiting for fence to be setup since Sep 2020 after payment. Not yet done in Jan 2021. Hope someday he will refund.Updated on 19th Oct 2021: no response, no fence, no refund. Already installed by another tradesperson.

Spoke to Alex on Monday, sorted out payment on the spot, job was attended to on Tuesday & works completed by Thursday. 36m of colourbond fence with timber paling + gate with lock supplied & installed all done in a jiffy. Wife & and I are pleased with the results and couldn't be happier as our new house is more secure with the fence surrounding it. Pricing is also very reasonable!

Very happy with the work that Alex and his team done and against all odds got it done in time. Considering how busy he was he met me at my house to make sure it was 100% how I wanted it. I would highly recommend him he has fair prices and excellent work. Great experience with vicwide fencing from the quote to completion thank you so much.
