My mates and I went camping this weekend and tried this cafe on Saturday and food was soo yummy so we came back today because the vibe, staff and food are soo welcoming and delicious. Highly recommend!

Amazing - food made with love and passion– a little coffee shop selling amazing cakes and small lunches. We spoke to Alf the owner and we could tell from the spread we were given and the cost and presentation that the food – all home cooked here – is made with love and passion and not just as a job.There is enough of a choice to choose from for a lunch or afternoon tea. If we had been staying longer we would have been back - just gorgeous and don't know how to get him or this place on Trip Advisor!

worst coffee ive had in years. we were sat outside and could see the owner making the coffees. he did not wipe the milk stem once, even between dairy and non dairy milk steams. he kept reheating the same milk, making it burnt and the froth seperate.pic attached is of the latte.

If I could rate this place zero stars, I would. I ordered a ham, cheese and tomato toastie which was meant to be $11 and I ordered an oat latte which came to a total of $20!? Not sure why the coffee was $9 cause it tasted like dish water. When my toastie came out, it had no tomato in it and the coffee was extremely hot. The coffee beans were old and had no depth of flavour. The owner seem to be more worried about pleasing customers rather than focusing on running his business. I’ve run a cafe before and it’s not hard to get one thing right, like your coffee. For people to say they enjoy your coffee, are not true coffee drinkers. I didn’t bother asking for replacement food and drinks simply because they had no idea how to run the place.We were with other guests and their coffees never came out too. We had to ask for them to be made again and when they came out the were just like mine apparently.. burnt, no flavour and disgusting.

Zero care for the food they call 2 slices of white bread, a soggy bunch of spinach, an avocado and 2 mushrooms (literally 2) a breakfast. If I wanted to build my meal" I would've just stayed at home."

What a lovely cafe. We received a very pleasant greeting on entry. There were quite a few people inside here on a dull rainy day. No brave souls outside in the air either. It really is a cute bright little cafe with good indoor and outdoor seating. You can even get the odd glimpses of the marina and the bay. Full marks for the clever retro playlist they had on here too. A beauty.We enjoyed our coffees. They’re at the more expensive end but no matter as the quality was there. It’s full on Aussie but we had to have toast and vegemite too. They use very good sourdough here. It was delicious. And, critically, we were given a good amount of vegemite. The food on display in the fridge food looked really good. Huge sausage rolls. The meals and snacks on the menu looked most enticing as well. The cakes looked terrific too. We said as much to the lovely owner/manager as we left. His happy comment was a classic. It’s all home made he confirmed and “... if you want mass produced, go down the road”. Indeed.

It's funny to see all the different reviews here. Maybe they have some bad days or are short staffed sometimes? I noticed the business was up for sale but Alf and his offsider remain friendly and efficient. The food was delicious, and you can tell the cakes are home made. The coffee, while different - not as milky as usual - I thought was pretty good. I am not a regular but I have been several times over a few years and I find this place consistently welcoming. I thought they are possibly the most hospitable team I've come across down on the Peninsula. Maybe I have just had them on their good days, but I love going there and I will be very sad when they move on.

Overpriced food and terrible costumer service (by the owner). Staff was lovely.We ordered a few coffees and baked eggs by 10:46am. We had three toddlers outside. We finished our coffees, kids were getting restless and staff had come THREE times to ask if we were done.Ok, no drama! By 11:10am I went to ask if my food had been forgotten, if so... to please cancel the order as we had to go very soon. They said it was on it's way.11:15am and my daughter was definitely done, so I politely asked the waiter at the till (who was such a kind boy) to please pack them to take away. However, the owner couldn't be more rude saying that they couldn't, over reacting and yelling at me. So I ended up asking for a refund.As the owner of a hospitality business, the way you speak to your staff in front of people, and to your costumers is essential. No one has to deal with your personal issues or bad temper.

Rude, arrogant owner! If you are going to be rude to your staff/customers and scream in front of everyone, make sure your coffee is perfect…..It’s not!!! Bitter and disgusting!!If I want to wait inside when it’s cold to get my coffee when I order takeaway, LET ME! Do NOT demand customers to wait outside if ordering take away! Do NOT scream at your staff for not knowing who ordered scones! Be NICE!!!!
