Nice place and very nice people running it. It's a popular spot so if you go during a busy period you might have to wait to be served. They close at 11:30am on Saturdays so be sure to give yourself enough time to be served and get your cash.Also bear in mind that the staff onsite probably don't make the decisions around how much you get paid so just be happy that you didn't have to pay money to drop it at a council waste station.Sometimes the ferrous metals yard can have a lot of smaller bits of scrap laying around. They try to keep it clean, but do watch out for your vehicles tyres.

Can’t say I will ever go there again. Had a few old safes and some steel angle and frames. Probably around 70kg in total. Went to the scales then was told to go to the weight bridge and it’ll be sorted out down there go down there and get told just leave it there. And the person just walks off and no idea what to do after so just left in frustration.

Action at Queens rd would be the best scrap yard on southside of brissy, best prices(consistantly) great facilities, plenty of room. Staff are on the ball fully, i would not bother going anywhere else to sell scrap.

Don't deal with these people! I had about 10-15kg of copper plus some other stuff that's been laying around for a while so I thought I'd cash it In, when u go in u can't see their scales because their behind the counter facing the opposite way, got the receipt and went to collect my money then realised it said I only had 5kg and I only end up with 60 dollars after the copper and alloy radiators when it should of been at least double that. I weighed it bit by bit on small scales days ago.. Don't deal with these rip off scum...

been going here for many years after getting stooged at other local yards, helpful friendly and if i have any questions regarding weight or price the guys down there are more than happy to help clarify all whilst working in a huge hot oven if feels at times surrounded by metal
