Recently purchased a second hand engine for a Ute. I advised the friendly staff at great western auto wreckers that I needed a ‘automatic’ engine for my Ute that I had. They said they had one in stock for $1500 and went to pick up from Sydney to orange and back to Sydney. Ute and engine taken to mechanic for only to find out from the mechanic that it’s a manual engine. I had to pay an extra $580 for them to replace parts from old engine to the second hand one that turned out to be a manual, that’s excluding what I had to pay for them to replace it engines. Mistakes happen but when it’s costly mistakes it should be a voided from the start and not for others to pay for it..
