Marigold Cottage

Location, location, location!Right at the back of the Berry shops, but surrounded by the beautiful a gorgeous garden (love the smell of jasmine wafting through the air), Marigold cottage is a beautifully simple way to remember what we loved about 80s design and decor. Cassettes? Check. 4:3 CRT TV? Check. Cow themed trinkets? Check!The hosts kindly left a pancake shake, maple syrup, the makings for toast, spreads and cereals - thoughtful and generous. The challenge was finding the gas bottles and turning on the gas, to make the stove top work! Challenge accepted!The kitchen is decently equipped - if you're a tea or coffee drinker, there are a lazy fifty-one coffee cups in the corner cupboard. Classic.The central heating does a great job, and the outdoor back table with bbq is a great sunny but sheltered spot.There's a real TV in the front lounge (only reception for abc TV), and the chairs are super comfy.Overall, cosy and comfortable.

Used to belong to a relative hence I have visited, about as close as you need to be to the centre of Berry. Lovely coffee shop ,food just across the road, Haven and Space just around the corner. The best place for quality gifts at a sensible price, pub further up the road on the main drag, Easy walking distance to everything Berry ,,,,but in a quiet area, cosy accommodation, you can't do better if you just want to hang in Berry centre.

Excellent stay at Marigold Cottage. We were lucky to snap up a few nights due to last minute cancellations. The kids loved it. The location right behind the shops was fantastic and despite its central location it was very quiet.We shut the gate and the kids loved the freedom of playing safely in the yard and gardens. Wish we had the time to stay longer

Large house and could do with some repairs to fan switches and electric sockets and front door deadlock. However lots of room for a group and full laundry and heating. Aircon for summer. Centrally located in Berry which is really a bonus.

Very clean and well presented. Well situated in town.
