Bloodwood Wines Home - the best wine in Orange | Bloodwood award winning wines are made entirely from grapes grown in Orange, NSW. Although each vintage in this cool climate region presents its own natural challenges our aim is to produce wines which are of a consistent high quality and which are identifiably Bloodwood in style. During the processing and maturation of each wine, every effort is made to ensure that the innate Regional characteristics of the fruit are protected. Cellar door visits always welcome! Sitting back having a sip of Cabernet Sauvignon by Bloodwood and enjoying life. We had a wonderful tasting experience in person weeks ago, Orange is in full bloom. A true beauty to behold and we were made to feel so welcome and really learned a lot from our lovely host and proprietor of Bloodwood. Call well before and plan your visit. Wines are delicious.

Brilliant spot, if you are lucky you will get Stephen Doyle (winemaker) doing your tasting. The wines are beautiful all of them have an acid line backed up by fruit that makes them lovely to drink now, but will cellar for a decade or more.Bloodwood is a bit out of Orange (our cab driver got lost) only about a 30$ cab ride, not to bad. Lovely people, a bit quirky and trying some interesting things with his wines. Worth a visit.

Upon a friend’s recommendation we found this winery... and so so happy we made the booking. The female owner was charming, informative, funny yet made the tasting feel personalised. We bought the most wines from any winery in Orange however one small note - the venue itself could be improved for example adding outdoor seating on the patio to enjoy the sunshine as it’s cold.

We were warmly welcomed by Stephen playing his acoustic guitar. As soon as we step out of the car, we felt instantly relaxed listening to the birds and absorbing the lush landscape.It’s incredible that Stephen and Rhonda planted all the trees (with the exception of a few original trees) and c.23,000 vines!!We thoroughly enjoyed stories, the humour and of course the wine :)Highly recommended. It’s worth calling to book.We’ll be back to catchup and hear about the cow-wood mowers, your roses and if the cicadas have decided to show.

Hands down my favourite winery in Orange. Wines are amazing in particular the Chardonnay - new one is light and delicious. Schubert is more Oakes and will age incredibly. Hosts are quirky and hilarious. By appointment so book!

This was my favourite wine tasting experience in a two day Orange tour. Rhoda is so kind, gentle. Knowledgeable. Welcoming. Uncommercial. How unassumingly she told us all their wines had attained five stars. 'They don't always keep them', she said. And the wines themselves are exceptional.

My partner and I found out about Bloodwood in Orange by another winemaker.... access to the winery is by appointment only, but let me be honest, totally worth your time! ❤We were very lucky to have Rhonda Doyle (owner and operator with her funny husband Steve) sit down with us and share the stories from backyard wines in Sydney to planting the first vines in Orange and helping establish Orange's annual food and wine festival. She also took the time to showcase their incredible wines - succulent, sexy and on point - and really ridiculous reasonable prices!If you're a great wine lover - do yourself a favour, call up and make a booking :)
