I was impressed not only with the Surf Lifesaving Buildings but also the facilities nearby.The showers and toilet block are the best quality visitors facilities I have ever seen.The barbeque plates were so clean and the is a kiosk opened during the weekends.

A nostalgic return to the beach where it all began my obsession with the surf. After many years it was difficult see so much beach erosion. Nevertheless awesome. Watch out for the undertow.

Beautiful beach good surfing.You have to pay for parking.Make sure you go early in the morning for surfing. Nice beach for families with a little river that runs into the sea ....lots of good spots to seat some shade but not much.In the afternoon the wind can be very strong.Water was cold in summer but maybe in a very hot day can be warm but I doubt....There is a good coffee shop close to where you park and there is the Surf club too but available only for members.There is a caravan park close by so it is a busy beach in summer.
