Gungahlin Medical Practice

Staff were friendly and reassuring and very competent. I was really happy with the way I was treated on both occasions that I’ve been to this surgery.Update April 2023: Now been to this practice four times in all and still very happy with the treatment I’ve received. Good experience and I’ll definitely keep going back.

You’ll be waiting at least 30 mins so don’t bother coming early for your appointment, they are never ever running on time. If you’re trying to have an appointment in you work lunch break, I wouldn’t recommend it, you’ll be there for much much longer than anticipated. All doctors are also Indian and GREATLY lack bedside manner, especially for anything mental health related. Not to mention reception staff are incredibly rude and unnecessary angry/stand offish.

I had an appointment made a month ago to see my usual GP for review on my 2nd car accident which happened last year. When I attended my appointment yesterday, in front of my rehabilitation officer, I was told by the receptionist, that my usual GP no longer works on Thurs and work only on Monday.The receptionist, with a standoff-ish attitude, claimed she called me the day before(which she did not. I had checked the phone records) and earlier at 8:09am and left a voice message. And one of doctors, working at the practice, was present, witnessed and overheard this happening.So at the last minute, the doctor attended to me and my rehab officer. We had a good session together and my reviewed was done.However when I went to the washroom and checked my phone, there was no record for the claimed missed call". I went back to my attending doctor and reported this. I was already diagnosed with a very bad depression due to my 2nd car accident. I mentioned that as a patient who had much frustration

-Reception staff refuse to provide me with my own pathology results when the doctor had told me I don’t need to see her for the results.-they also don’t confirm any details when I walk in for an appointment. I just told them my name and told me to have a seat. I could of really been anyone!-Long wait times-no options for bulk billing for those who just need their pathology results!Very disappointed in this medical practice

Went in today, as I'm unable to get into either of my usual doctors until the end of the week.I had to wait 50 minutes after my appointment time just to be rushed out the Dr. I saw him for maybe 5 minutes and didn't get a chance to ask any questions about my illness nor if they know what the cause may be.All they did was poke my stomach, ask if I was pregnant and take my blood pressure, before giving me a medical certificate (which i told them wasn't necessary), and a medication for symptoms I told them I no longer have..All this cost me $85 up front, $45 out of pocket. I would have rathered saved that $45 an fuel and just stayed home.

Please employ a receptionist who can understand and communicate in English - she asked me to repeat what was wrong about four times - she complained that I was speaking too fast, so I slowed down (and I speak in very clear, well enunciated English), but then she spoke so fast and with such a heavy accent that I couldn't understand her. Not her fault, but it does the business and clients no good if it's that hard to make a simple booking. I gave up and went elsewhere.

Me, my partner and baby booked an appointment online 2:50 for our Pfizer Vaccine ‘cause they said they do it. we came at 2:30 waited all the way to 3:40 for our appointment even though we booked online for 2:50. Then went in at 3:40 for the doctor to tell us they don’t do the Pfizer vaccination. So slow had to wait 1 hour 10mins for them to say they don’t have it. false advertisement on their website. They could’ve told us when we got there they don’t have it. So irritated. If I could give these guys 0 stars I would. 1 star is too much for them.

that was so annoying we had an appointment at 2.10 we were here since then it's been more then 1 hour but our number couldn't come. the receptionist said sorry that was some errors comes in out system very rude and poor behaviour. very poor service even they don't know how to talk with patients. seriously not even deserve the one star. Even the manager was very rude.

One of the Nurse LF, called from a mobile number very unprofessionally asked about the patient where are and why u didnot come for appointment. Even was told that tried to call multiple times to cancel but she refuse to trust and said she even did not see intension to cancel. Later call reception and manager they were same trying to defend and usual lesson for $50 cancellation fee and also been told they cannot talk about this as its been 5,7 mins busy time for them. GP is been very helpful and nice. No issues with that.
