Wow!! Amazing place. I wish there was an Hunky Dory in Darwin. Nice large portion size. The family loves fish n chips. Everything tasted sooo delicious. Was very happy with what we got. Very popular place. We'll visit again.

This restaurant specializes in fish and seafood. I ordered grilled fish with rice and salad. The fish was grilled nicely and the salad was amazing. I didn't like the rice muxh though because it wasn't fully cooked. The place was packed and the order took around 35mins to be ready. Food was nice but I didn't feel it deserved this wait nor searching for a table to sit. The prices are normal, we paid around $55 for 2 meals.

Everything is served really fresh and meals are at your table very quickly.Ordered:• Fried Blue Grenadier - very crispy and good size• Grilled fish pack - came with Greek salad and crispy fries• Scallops - delicious!• Chargrilled Calamari - great size portion and mouth watering taste

I, a loyal customer of Bunky Dory Port Melbourne, walked into the store tonight to try the $10 special ‘fish tacos’… and oh golly were they DELICIOUS!Specifically, I had it with aioli sauce as I can’t have the regular spicy sauce it comes with. The blend of flavours between the rich creamy aioli and the crisp crunch of the fried fish & slaw salad all compliment each other in ways I could have never imagined. And don’t get me started on the soft, supple texture of the tortilla bread!The first bite was like heaven, I truly reached a state of nirvana. My mind and body transcended through space and time as electrons start firing off between neurons inside my brain. All I could think was “holy guacamole” except there is no guacamole much to my dismay, so perhaps I was thinking “holy fried fish taco with slaw salad and aioli”. You’ve outdone yourselves this time, Hunky Dory. Pure heavenly bliss.Also let’s not forget the elephant-fish in the room. You don’t get one taco, you don’t get zero tacos, but this bad boy right here comes with TWO TACOS. It took all my power to not eat the second taco, I went home to my shorty, also a Hubky Dory fiend. She smelt the aroma of my fish taco from the doorstep! Shorty went absolutely loco for my taco and gobbled it right up, not a single crumb left (mostly due to me picking them off the floor to truly finish it). Safe to say, we’ll be back every single day for these fish tacos.Thank you Hubky Dory for this outer-body experience. Truly incredible. 8.5/10

Cheese burger was superb!!! Definitely recommend getting it along with the fries!Fries were amazing, they were crunchy soft and crispy ! Beef patty was amazingly seasoned for the burger.Nice view of the kitchen staff making meals, bustling atmosphere, staff was helpful in ordering!

Extremely disappointed to see the fishless fish & southern fried cauliflower taken off the menu as they are amazing Vegetarian and vegan replacement options. It's obvious Fish & chip shops don't care about ocean sustainability and animal cruelty but for Hunky Dory to remove options on your menu due to not enough demand and therefore profit is poor.You now do not give vegetarians and vegans many options if any at all to enjoy a meal. You've lost my business.

Can't speak highly enough.Food was absolutely delicious (I ordered grill pack with salad and chips), staff super friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to returning whilst I'm living in Melbourne. Good pricing too.
