Snorkeling Byron Bay

World class experience!Captain Dean and his marine team provided us with clear instructions, top of the line snorkeling gear and the confidence to take the plunge into the deep blue sea. Absolute mind blowing experience! The reef was vibrant and alive with tons of aquatic animals.

My son and I had an amazing snorkeling experience with out of the blue adventures - very professional staff and we felt very safe in the water. We saw heaps of marine life and got to swim with a turtle! The boat is brand new and very well set up , can’t wait to go again!!

What a wonderful world that lies below Julian Rocks Nguthungulli Nature Reserve. Whether you live here or are just passing through, it’s a must do! We swam with turtles, friendly leopard sharks and colorful fish. Much needed salt water therapy & memories to last a lifetime. The crew were very attentive and knowledgeable & the skipper very skilled. Highly recommend Out of the Blue Adventures!

I have been to Julian Rocks to snorkel many times but this was my first experience going with Out Of The Blue Adventures and I cannot express how amazing it was! I was very impressed with how organised they were and how much space was onboard to move around / store my bag I brought with me / change into clothes / out of wetsuit etc. there was even a toilet onboard and so many different access points to get on and off the boat into the water with ease so everyone can enter and exit the water at the same time, rather than queue for the stairs to get back on. We saw a turtle right away, leopard sharks, nurse sharks, so many colourful fish! Even though I have snorkeled many times before, having the Marine Biologist with us was amazing as she knew the good spots and pointed out some species I never knew about, as well as this really cool jellyfish type creature (can’t remember the name they told me) which had sparkling lights like a multi coloured Xmas tree. You had the option to follow her or just simply do your own thing. I was a little nervous initially jumping off the vessel but I was made to feel at complete ease. They provided brand new looking wetsuits, snorkels and fins, not at all those used looking ones with holes that I’m used to seeing with most water activity companies, everything was very clean and top quality. The ride out and back added to the whole experience and was so fun, we saw dolphins as we passed, a hammerhead shark fin from the comfort of the vessel (not near the snorkel site!) and a huge loggerhead turtle - it’s head poked above the surface and was massive!! 2hrs was more than enough time, it was really a fantastic day! Thank you!

An amazing service for a great price!Brand new cool looking" boat with highly competent staff. The skipper amazingly handled the bar and comfortably took us at the dive site in no time. We have been lucky enough to see Julians rocks at her best: 20+ meter visibility

We booked at short notice based on a last minute quick Internet search. We enjoyed it very much; compares very well with high-end/small boat snorkelling tours we have done in from Port Douglas. At a fraction of the price.We were lucky on the day, calm weather, and great visibility. No turtles, some people saw some manta rays, but there was a great view of a good sized leopard shark and tons of beautiful coloured fish.Everything was new and shiny and professional, just like the website, with a young and very friendly team.

Could not recommend this tour highly enough. Incredible dive site, experienced operators, with great equipment, and an amazing boat! Will definitely be choosing Out of The Blue Adventures again for our snorkelling experience at Julian Rocks.

Probably the best snorkelling trip I have done in Australia. The crew were all friendly and helpful. We ended up seeing 2 green sea turtles, loads of leopard sharks, 2 huge manta rays and loads more. A truly excellent experience

Highly recommend Out of the Blue Adventures snorkeling tour. We got picked up in Brunswick Heads in a beautiful boat that made me feel safe. The snorkel gear was great quality and comfy to use. The Skipper was gentlemanly helping everyone aboard and the Marine Biologist’s knowledge about the dive site and sea creatures was very educational whilst also fun and interesting to listen to. The staff catered well to the varying ocean skill levels so everyone had a good time. We saw manta rays, leopard sharks, sea turtles and the visibility was incredible!I have also done the Out of the Blue Adventures whale watching tour and believe these guys are great at what they do :)

Wonderful experience for the whole family. Staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and professional and equipment and boat were super clean and modern. We saw dolphins on our way out and two types of turtles, heaps of colourful fish, rays, eels and some leopard sharks as well. Fabulous all round and highly recommend it!
