Meribula WharfVisited on 12/3/2021There is a big warning signage about the use of the wharf may be hazardous. It also includes relevant pictogram/warnings for submerged rocks, rips and currents, large breaking waves, deep water, strong winds, sharp drop offs, and slippery surface. There is no boat ramp at the wharf. Not far from the wharf is the rocky beach. One must walk up a gentle grassy slop, and then down to the beach. These are very big red rock, some are very flat. The view is magnificent.

Great snorkelling from the rocks. Access from a little path behind the public toilet out the back of the restaurant. If the tiny carpark looks full, do everyone a favour and turn around and park up the hill, otherwise it gets clogged while everyone does a billion point turns to get outta there.

Snorkeling: it was low tide and I didn’t fancy climbing down the 6 m ladder. I went in at Bar Beach and swam round. Lots of rocks, reef and fish on the way. Glorious clear water.Saw a giant ray under the wharf. Gave me a bit of a fright! Fantastic experience.

Biggest grey nurse sharks seen on a dive yet. Beautiful corals, sponges and strange fish.
