Zamel's Jewellers

This is a standard jewellery shop but has conducted a shady sale to my underage son and won’t refund his money. I will say that under consumer law the store is allowed to not accept “change of mind” refunds. However, they shouldn’t have sold to an unaccompanied child an unrefundable wedding ring.Edit: 04 January: Contacted the head office and told them of the incident and was offered a full refund. My intention was to increase my rating for the store but after I went back, there was a blonde haired associate who asked if she could help. As I explained to her that the brunette attendant probably would better assist me because she had assisted the day before; the brunette associate opened the till and threw the money at me and said nastily that she remembered me because she, “remembers people who yell at her.“ At no time had I ever yelled at her. In this day and age security would be calling in such incidents. I told her that I was offended but she ignored me and walked away. The blonde associate said she remembered my son who was quite pleasant and happy with the purchase at the time.

I have recently purchased several items of diamond jewellery and gorgeous Leah is the reason I have remained faithful to Zamels over the years. Leah is very knowledgeable, caring and has the most amazing personality. She is the reason I keep returning to Zamels. Thank you Leah for making my ears and neck so attractive - it is a shame she can’t do the same for my seven decades old body!

I went into Zamels today with my daughter to have my stunning ring which i bought from Zamels resized. Leah could not have been more accommodating and professional and lovely, I can not recommend them more highly for going over and beyond for u ,you very seldom find customer service but i did today and will be going back to do my christmas shopping their THANK YOU LEAH !!!

We purchased a Tensity watch for our grandson for his 10th birthday which was in September, 2020. One of the things that influenced us in our decision, was that there was a two year warranty.In early December, after barely three months of wearing, the watch had stopped working so we took back to a Zamels store. Was told watch would have to be returned to supplier. Unfortunately suppliers were closed over Christmas period. In January we went back into Zamels as we had not heard anything. Zamels emailed the supplier to get an update on our grandson's watch. As we had not heard anything, we went back into Zamels again. They had not had a reply from the supplier, so would email again. Have just heard from Zamels to say they have finally heard from supplier & will have our grandson's watch back in the store by Feb. 24 with a new motherboard fitted.I cannot believe that a watch with a value of approx. $35 & a 2 year warranty has to be returned to supplier.This item is barely 3 months old. As a goodwill gesture, we should have been given a brand new watch.Sorry Zamels, having to wait for more than two months for warranty work is far from satisfactory. And the fact that we had to keep coming back in to check on progress is really bad in terms of customer service.

Very unhappy with the staff at this store. I went in and told the lady that I wanted a gold bracelet for my husbands 40th at no time did she tell me she was actually selling me a gold plated bracelet. It wasnt until i went to get it resized with a jeweller that i discovered it wasnt even gold. I went back and got a refund. The lady that refunded my money told me the money would be back in my account instantly but three days later I still havent seen the money. I rang up and spoke to another lady who told me that it can take up to 5 days to return to my account. Bad service. Never going back again.
