Melanie has been wonderful coming to our home to meet our rescue kelpie Rosie. Her insight into animal behaviour has been very helpful for us with our kelpie who suffers anxiety and has had no socialisation. It's eight weeks since Rosie came to live with us and Melanie's advice has been invaluable. Rosie is settling in well.

Melanie is the answer for everything you need to understand about your pet.Her love and dedication towards understanding our beloved four legged animals is as near to a Dr Doolittle that I have ever experienced.Highly recommend.Just looking at your pet Mel can instantly understand dynamics that are missed by many.Not to interact on any level with this compassionate intuitive woman is missing out on having a better grasp of your pet relationship.

Mel is absolutely wonderful and helped us so much with our labrador puppy. He is now 2 and is so well behaved, gentle and easy going. He is great with people and other dogs too.We had Mel over zoom in lockdown and her help and support over zoom was amazing. I met her twice in person and she was even more amazing. Anyone with a puppy or older dog that needs training should definitely consider Mel.

I booked a session with Melanie because I was looking for evidence based advice about training a slightly traumatised rescue dog. I learned a great deal from the session and came away feeling much more confident in how to approach future training. Melanie also sent a helpful follow-up email with a summary of what we'd discussed in the session and links to other useful resources. Highly recommend.

Melanie is a fantastic trainer with so much valuable knowledge. We bought our staffy pup in lockdown and part of the puppy training course was done via zoom due to lockdown which was called virtual puppies and Melanie was able to assess and help us with our dogs while online which was great. The training between in person and on line had a continuity to it which was really great and easy to pivot to during spontaneous lockdowns. I can’t recommend Melanie enough, she is fantastic.

We recently took in a rescue dog with a few behaviour issues (dog reactivity, barking, separation anxiety) that we wanted to consult a professional about right away. We contacted Mel because she practices evidence-based positive-reinforcement techniques, and she's been so great to work with so far! She managed to fit us in for an appointment last-minute, and has provided lots of follow-up advice via email. It's still early days so we expect we'll need a few more sessions with Mel, but we are confident with her help we will make plenty of progress!

We are so grateful we found Melanie. In one session with Melanie we have solved all of the aggression issues we were having with our 11 month old Chesapeake Bay retriever. Melanie's advice was all science based and, in contrast to the advice given by other dog owners, involved no disciplining or domination. We learnt so much in a single 1 hour session with her and she then sent us a detailed plan to follow and links to her own wonderful training videos. She has also replied promptly to our queries and progress reports. I thoroughly recommend her.

Our local Vet recommended Melanie when we first got our puppy however we had our first dog training session with another trainer as we were given a free session by our breeder. Big mistake! The first dog trainer practiced negative reinforcement and told us treats shouldn't be used to train dogs. We felt really uncomfortable with their methods and decided to sign up to Melanie's Virtual Puppy classes. Since implementing many of her dog training tips, our puppy is happier, more affectionate, and is doing really well with her training. Melanie's videos are short and informative with summaries to help consolidate the lesson. She also provides a puppy manual so you can refer to it. I was really impressed that she called me to have a chat before we embarked on the Virtual Puppy training. There's also a FB group so you can always post questions and share training videos. Highly recommend the Virtual Puppy classes - it'll set you and your puppy up for success☺️
