Noosa National Park Carpark

One of the highlights of Noosa. There are several options considering your available time and the effort you are willing to do. The spots and beaches are beautiful and the mixture of colors in each one are different. It’s nice to find here so many people who are surfing and carrying their boards to the beaches (and see their passion!) and also other people just having a run in this little paths... there are signs saying you can find Koalas there but unfortunately we weren’t that lucky to see them.

It’s a great spot to see the sunset, very quiet and serene. Bit of a drive up and parking is quite limited

I love this area. There is direct access to the surf also a number of walking tracks of varying distances offering either coastal views or rainforest experience. Excellent for budding landscape photographers. Just remember to wear good shoes, a hat and take water . A nice place to take your lunch along with many places you can stop and enjoy your surroundings. Several points where you can access the water for a swim, some not so easy with a bit of a climb down the track or over rocks. There is a toilet block a couple of kms in for kids who need to go. Also if the surf is up there are a number of great viewing spots to watch the surfers cranking the barrels.

Noosa National Park is an iconic spot with great hiking trails. The beautiful shoreline is surfer heaven. The parking space here is minimal and is mainly taken up by campervans and surfers. I suggest starting your walk trials from the Noosa Heads Surf Life Saving Club.Today there are so many surfers, and impressive how everyone lines upon the sea, waiting for their wave/pipeline. We are fortunate to see a couple of dolphins in the ocean.

We came what we thought was early, before 8am on a Sunday but parking was already full. If you are lucky to find a spot or walk there (which is lovely along the coast) the coastal trek is a great short, not very strenuous hike. We watched surfers and hopped in the fairy pool.
