Had an overnight stay in Room 2 which has a separate lounge & also separate bathroom. Have received more friendlier check-ins at other places. Did appreciate speaking to a staff member a week before our stay, who booked us into a local restaurant for dinner. Great location on a main street close to the river with easy parking access. It rained overnight & we discovered wet patches on the carpet. Let a staff member know about this but not much concern was shown for us. Hot breakfast was included but was a very small portion - 1 egg with some buffalo cheese on 1 piece of toast. You could help yourself to other options such as cereals & muffins however. Didn't eat at the restaurant as it is closed on some days during the week. Just expected more after paying $300 for the night & very unlikely to return.

What a delightful restaurant! We went for dinner and had the burrata cheese, beef, duck and mousse. The food was delicious! The servers were fantastic, they were so welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and the decor completes the atmosphere.I would definitely recommend, we were very impressed!

Amazing meal in a cozy English pub-feel inn. Fantastic flavours with fresh produce and combinations. Staff very knowledgeable of menu, wine and products. Rhubarb tea was delightful!Close to town centre, easy to walk to.

Great dinner experience! We gave them a call after reading the great reviews and managed to get squeezed in at the bar. A daily changing menu with super fresh ingredients from their garden and local producers. Awesome wine list, and we even met some of the winemakers who happened to pop by for the evening. Excellent service from Leroy & Jenny - great food recos & amazing wine knowledge!

We enjoyed the attention to detail in this quirky, innovative restaurant. Also the “fresh from the garden” factor. Lots of delicious, carefully thought out dishes, a great wine list and more. A memorable experience.

Quirky, quaint old style inn full of charm. Staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in an attic room which was small, however the cost reflected this. Lovely breakfast included and restaurant menu was fabulous using ingredients from their garden or locally sourced. Close to town and plenty of parking.

The atmosphere of this place is amazing. The staff and the owner included have so positive vibes that you cannot feel nothing but happiness when you are in the Merrijig Inn. The old style of this cottage makes you feel to be in your beloved grandparents' house. Warm, welcoming and cosy. The food is prepared by the owner, she puts so much love and creativity in her meals that every bites you take is an explosion of flavour in your mouth. Everything is freshly picked from the garden and home made. The best experience we ever had in AU. Thank you all.

We had such a lovely evening here. The atmosphere was great - cosy but lively, and the food so delicious. Jenny Lee (allegedly and not relevantly one of the south west’s sharpest collectors) hosted us graciously with plenty of laughter and great suggestions. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine list as well.A must visit if you are around the area.
