Sep21: The meatballs pizza was nice. Unfortunately there were burned bits underneath again. Overall still acceptable. Just a shame.Jan21:Quick service and attentive. The polenta chips were good. We had the Boss pizza which was good except that some of the back were quite burned hence tasting bitter.

Rating is for dine-in only, we’ve had some pretty good takeaway orders.- Pasta, salad and chilli oil were served in takeaway containers including lids- Counter service- Front of house were unfriendly, sour and disagreeable (usual guy is great tho)Unfortunately had some disappointments with the food too.- The Zaza Pizza was bland- Fettuccine is not mafaldine

We visited Johnny Gio's as we were staying close by at the Meriton apartments. We wanted something quick to eat, and this place had good reviews, so we thought we'd give it a go. We were not disappointed!We sat outside and loved watching the passing pedestrian traffic while we waited. We noticed a lot of locals ordering as takeaway and food delivery orders pumping out, too.Their was a bit of a wait, but it was definitely worth it. We were absolutely blown away with the garlic bread and loved our pizza, too. The base was nicely cooked, and the toppings were fresh and full of flavour. The pizza was a perfect size to share between 2 people.If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be back.

Truffle butter was perfect and I would say that it’s my fav takeaway pizza so far and I also tried the Johnny Squirrel which is my boyfriend’s fav. This pizza was perfectly made and their chili oil was also really great! Cannot recommend it enough!

First time order for me and what a great selection. Ordered the Mammas Meatball pizza which was/is delicious (3 slices left). Only suggestion is to maybe cut the balls into half so that some don’t roll off the pizza. Otherwise beautiful and looking forward to the next one!

So glad I discovered this place, absolutely love their pizza and cannot recommend it enough to anybody that will listen. Great size, crust is spot on, the slices have just the right amount of flop to them and the whole thing tastes great. No wonder there is a 30 minute wait for your pizza, because everyone in the know is getting theirs as well! Try it and you won’t be disappointed!

Great wood fired pizza, plenty of topping, and I would recommend the arancini!We ordered takeaway which did take over an hour to come, and could’ve been warmer but it was a Saturday night.

Finally not just decent but I think one of the BEST in eastern suburbs. The dough is everything in a pizza and I could be wrong but the dough tasted like they had left it to rise for at least more than a day allowing the dough to have such perfect consistency and taste.Slightly crispy under the flat layer with a bit of chew at the end of the crust just perfect. I frequent Vacanza pizzeria in Surry Hills, both are comparable but I think I have a winner in my books and I don’t need to travel so far for pizza that awesome.

I’m addicted to this pizza it’s just how I like it. Thin base, perfect proportion of toppings, nice flavour, good sizing, and some pizzas come with chilli oil on the side which gives the pizza that extra kick. Must order are the meatballs with whipped ricotta and garlic bread. there is also an app to order which for me works very well. My only (small) criticism is that the meatballs ( and arancini) should be served a tad hotter as I prefer food hot not lukewarm especially when I’m eating them straight from the table.
