Had the beef yakiniku rice bowl and beef was a bit chewy and quite salty however salad was good and also got the chilli fried chicken skewer which was very tasty

We love Zipang and eat here regularly. Food is absolutely delicious every time and staff are so friendly and helpful. Our favourite local restaurant to eat with the family. Take away lunch is also amazing!

Nice little restaurant surrounded by local residents and businesses.We had teriyaki chicken, stir fry udon, and katsu chicken curry. For the price we paid, portions were pretty small, food and service were pretty average.

Food was overpriced and took soooo long to come out. They were very popular though - we had to pretty much sit in the car park. I’m pretty sure I won’t be back.

Food took a while to come out and we were there with one other table at the start of service. I had to get my own bottle of water after waiting 15 minutes.I mainly eat at Japanese restaurants / travelled Japan extensively and I didn’t find this very authentic or good Japanese food. More good food court Japanese. Felt japanese “inspired”. Also my Pork Tonkatsu wasn’t representative of the true dish which was disappointing. I couldn’t finish my meal and the pork was dry. They had a special of the day tempura salmon which was very good so not all negative. Definitely not for me but the place was packed so I think the locals love it. I’d say if you are after authentic excellent Japanese this is not the place - if you’re not having Japanese food all the time to compare to I think you’d enjoy this. It was a few friends like this that recommended zipang to me. Always worth trying I think if you’re not fussed with sticking to the expected Japanese cuisine.

Large serves and pretty tasty. Would have liked further explanation about what looked like a potato salad served on the side.
