Just Jane Ceramics

Ho ricevuto in dono la gallina di Just Jane in ceramica, le sue forme, i colori e la sua delicata bellezza mi hanno conquistata ed è diventato un oggetto di arredo nella mia casa, estroso, ironico e molto interessante.. e tutte le volte che la guardo.. mi strappa un sorriso.

On the prowl for something unique and a little bit ‘Australian’ to gift to overseas relatives, my husband and I dropped into Jane’s studio for one-off sale that Jane was hosting to clear some stock, in our local town of Echunga. Suffice to say, her work was impressive and we found ourselves packing an entire box of beautifully handcrafted ceramics into the car an hour later.The pieces are simple and unfettered; the pottery is fine-rimmed (I couldn’t help myself and purchased a mug to keep as my designated ‘tea’ cup, for this very reason). There are a range of different designs; some more colourful and playful, some that are cleaner and simpler in style… but all of which carry their own unique character, and most of which subtly incorporate some essence of Australiana. My favourite collections are the blackgrass, the ginkgo and the beachfoam….but oh so hard to choose because they are all stunning (and the added bonus is that they are also microwave and dishwasher safe…).It would be fair to say that while we purchased these mostly as gifts, it’s quite possible a few will go missing and end up on my shelf ;).
