Despite some clouds there was still a good view of the Snowy Mountains.Don't rely on Google Maps to get into the carpark, look for the sign to Scammells Spur Lookout.

Great place to stop and take in the views of snowy mountains area and surrounding. Nice open deck extends out for a perfect view. There are public toilets and a table to have some food but too many flies and too hot to sit outside. Cool spot to stretch your legs on a windy road if you are driving or riding.

Beautiful viewpoint of the Kosciuszko main range. Can see several peaks on a clear day.

200m off the main highway the turn off is well posted. Parking for a number of cars and although no dedicated spots for caravans or trailers there is plenty of space to park and turn round. Toilets and picnic table, although the table is away from the view. Wheelchair accessible to the platform which is only a few metres from the car park. Great views and well worth the stop.

Relax on the way. Toilet available. Good parking space. 200m away from road. First glimpse of snow if you are from Vic side.

Nice stop; it started to snow while we were there, so visibility was lower. Long drop toilets.

What a majestic view. This location puts the Alpine region in a view unique to the Victorian side of NSW snow country. The visible landmarks are highlighted on a map at the elevated lookout. Casting your eye upon Mt Townsend, once mistaken for Australia's highest Peak. Kosciuszko is out of view yet so close. A sealed thin road takes you to the car park where public toilets and the lookout stand. A clear day will result in spectacular photos. Traffic on this road for the inexperienced can be problematic so extra caution is advised and sticking to, or below the posted speed limit (and your side of the Alpine road) is strongly advised. Don't expect phone reception till closer to Kancoben. Wet cold days are likely ro be challenging so come prepared the Alpine roads are thin so caution is essential as you WILL be confronted with vehicles towing a carravan thinking 'they should turn back if they could'. This is not an ideal place in winter while very easy to access for wheel chair persons or elderly. The walk to the look out is all of a 'Domestic letterbox trip', under 50 meters. Weather permitting, you will be there spellbound for 60 minutes or more.

Lovely outlook on the main range. You can see My Townsend and Abbott Peak from here. Although Mt Kosciusko is hidden behind Abbott Peak. Lovely view though
