Girraween Estate Vineyard
Steve is the owner, wine maker and cellar door expert who conducts all the wine tastings. He was excellent and the wine was delicious. These guys specialise more in the sparkling varieties.There’s an added element of specialty when the wine maker also coordinates the cellar door for wine tastings. Steve’s expertise, humour and knowledge of the area made it the best winery of the day. Well done.

A group of us went here on Saturday and was one of the favorite wineries for the day. Steve was a fantastic host with a lot of knowledge and a great sense of humour. We enjoyed all of his wines and signed up to be members. Looking forward to our first pack later this year!

As I write this I am sitting here drinking the 2022 Sauv Blanc that was recently awarded best Sauv Blanc in Australia at the Royal Queensland Wine Awards! I'm not usually a fan of white as I prefer Red but after seeing this pop up in the media I had to see what all the fuss was about. I have to agree with the judges this is certainly the best Sauv I've ever tasted compared to others. It has a very pleasant tropical fruity note to it and I would highly recommend it even if you aren't a fan of white!

Very enjoyable visit to this winery. Steve was a very informative host as well as entertaining. He made us feel welcome and shared his passion for these lovely wines. Definitely worth a visit while in Stanthorpe area. Looking forward to cracking open my purchases!
