La Baia Bar Cucina
I've been here before when it was a Thai restaurant but this was the first time trying it after changing hands and becoming Italian. It's in a perfect spot with easy parking and space to have big groups or small tables of two.The ambiance is lovely and there's beautiful music playing. The menu has a reasonable selection (unless you don't eat seafood or pork/ham), and something for everyone, I'm sure.Entrees came out in good time and were presented really well. Mains took a long time to come out, and while later we found out that it's because the kitchen staff aren't back to full numbers because of Covid, this wasn't made clear to us during the time, and someone could have at least said to us sorry

Great place for a mid-week dinner. Staff were friendly and the food was great. The highlight of the night was the pumpkin gnocchi, which is the best gnocchi I have had in Melbourne so far. Overall, a good experience and I would come back again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to La Baia Bar Cucina. The building was absolutely beautiful and it was located by the water, it was a perfect location for a lovely day/ night out.My favourite dish of the night would have to be the Pappardelle with traditional beef ragu and parmagiano. The pappardelle was absolutely perfect and the flavours just melt in your mouth. I rate 10/10!The other dishes we ordered include the Calamari Fritti, Mussels Al Bianco, Capricciosa pizza and the Frisgioli, Italian style donuts dusted in cinnamon with Nutella. All of these dishes were really good also. The food did take a while to come out but that's its only small downside. The restaurant was very busy so it was understandable. Would highly recommend to visit if you are in the area.

Delicious food and lovely customer service. My mum came in on crutches and was immediately offered assistance by the staff. The menu has many good options of various price ranges, and the service was fast. This restaurant is definitely a good choice in the albert park area.

Very good service - helpful and prompt. Mains were very nice. Loved the Osso buco. Crispy Pork belly also very good flavors. Panacotta desert was very nice flavor but not quite fully set. We also ordered the soufflé which was a meringue based version and not what I expected. The Front of house manager helped with good discussion and removed from the bill. If you like creamy deserts this may be for you. Overall nice food and very good service - worth a visit for a nice Italian dinner.

We found the place through google while looking for a nice restaurant around st kilda. It was a quite and sunny afternoon. We sat outside and the st kilda views were just so calming and beautiful. The staff was nice, but it was difficult to grab their attention with the doors closed as other inside tables started getting filled, would’ve been nicer if they paid more attention to the outside table as it was just us. We ordered and started with the drinks first. The staff set a platter stand on the table when we got the drinks, that put me under the impression that we were getting the food immediately. However the stand sat between us awkwardly for the next 15-20 mins while we had our drinks. Maybe next time bring the stand when the food is ready ? Apart from this the food was very good. Ate more than we had expected. Loved sitting by the beach and sipping wine. Overall it was a good experience.

We were invited into La Baia Bar Cucina to a enjoy a lovely dinner. When we arrived we were greeted by the welcoming front of house and were kindly shown to our table. The interior of the restaurant is warm and cosy.We choose a glass of wine each. The Headliners Shiraz (McLaren Vale) and the Silent Waters Pinot Noir (Adelaide Hills). Both wines were lovely to drink. For our Entrées we had the Arancini di Manzo (beef) w/herb aioli and the Bruschetta Classica w/Grana Padano cheese. The Arancini came with 3 good sized arancini balls. They were a lovely flavour. The Bruschetta had a generous amount of tomatoes. Nice fresh flavours. Our Mains were the Gnocchi di Zucca al Burro Fuso e Salvia and the Lamb Rack. The gnocchi was absolutely delicious. So soft and pillowy. Wonderful flavours. The Lamb Rack was amazing too. Perfectly cooked, very tender and delicious ingredients served with it. Burst of heat from the lentils. After enjoying such delicious entrées and mains we decided on sharing a dessert, the ‘Nutellotta’ (Nutella Pannacotta w/blood orange sorbet & toasted almonds) It was delicious and a lovely dish to finish off our wonderful dinner.A nice and relaxing restaurant. There was nice music playing through the night. All of our dishes came out pretty quickly. The presentation of all dishes were great. Great service. We would definitely visit again - 5 stars! We thank La Baia Bar Cucina for a lovely Friday night dinner. All of our opinions are genuine and are based on our experience at the time of our visit.

Loving the dining experience here at La Baia. So much delicious food from calamari to lasagna to Italian style donuts plus more. A great Italian restaurant by the beach! On the night we got:- Frisgioli Italian style donuts- Sticky date pudding- Mussels Al Bianco- Calamari Fritti- Vincigrassi lasagna- Pappardelle- Summer pizza- Capricciosa pizzaThe highlight on the night for me was definitely their 12 hours braised beef cheek ragu lasagna. The flavours and the handmade lasagna sheet were so delicious! And their Italian style donut, literally could have the whole plate to myself. Other dishes were yummy too! There was quite a wait in between each courses from entrees to mains to desserts but it was all worth the wait for sure.Would come back and dine here again!

Lovely small restaurant at a superb location! Dishes are yummy and ingredients are fresh! The ladies tonight are friendly, efficient and polite! The summer pizza was so yummy, the scotch fillet with sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection, risotto was creamy and chocolate souffle is a must! Definitely coming back!
