Gumleaf Gully Childcare

I can't say how glad I am to have found Gumleaf Gully. My toddler started in the nursery room at 11 months old and was absolutely loved and cared for by his wonderful educators right from the start. He initially had troubles sleeping but his teachers gave him so much of their time, gently helping him get used to sleeping his a new environment. The variety of activities, creativity and experiences he is exposed to is incredible. He comes home with new ideas and learnings every day. Centre management are constantly coming up with interesting additions and improvements to the space. Now as a toddler my child is greeted in the entrance hall with hugs and chats from staff. He absolutely loves Gumleaf Gully and so do we.

We love Gumleaf Gully, both my children attend the service and we love the feel Gumleaf has to offer. Every educator is super friendly, professional and nurturing.

Gumleaf Gully is a special childcare centre, the team truly go above and beyond. My daughter has been here for two years, it has been an amazing experience for her. The kindy team (Mr Josh, Ms Renee) have really done a fantastic job at preparing her for school next year, and we can't recommend Gumleaf Gully high enough.

I visit Gumleaf Gully once a week, as my Fitness Program, Kids Moves, is offered at the centre as part of the children’s Extra Curricular. Visiting on a weekly basis has given me the opportunity to get to know the children, Director and teachers very very well. After working in early education for most of my adult life, and working in my industry for just over 20 years teaching all over the world, I can honestly put my hand on my heart and say that Gumleaf Gully is by far the most satisfying, refreshing and rewarding Centre I have ever been associated with. I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to see their philosophy in connection with my own, for my business. The children are encouraged to lead the way in their learning through their own ideas, creativity, imagination and concepts. This style of teaching makes the children feel valued, respected and appreciated for their own individuality. No child is the same and so when all their creative minds collaborate it produces something truly special and magical ideas to bounce off. The fact that this centre encourages this approach and teaching style is invaluable to their ongoing learning and development. The time of day that I visit each week is typically known as a “hectic” time, as the children are just finishing up morning tea and clean up is in process. Not once have I visited there and experienced such “hectic” it is always so relaxed, calm, happy and organised. It is a family! They work as one to form this harmony in their everyday environment and as a result there is never a display of such chaos during busy transitions in the day. Part of achieving such harmony requires strong communication between Director to staff ... between staff to staff, staff to children and staff to parents. These strong communication skills are demonstrated by ALL staff members of the Gumleaf Gully Family instead of just one or two members and that’s the key. When all the team are on the same page and are working as “one” is how they earn such respect and success. The children are always so well behaved, mannered and organised and whilst this must reflect their parents and how well raised they are at home, it must also respect their teachers, who spend many hours with them, often everyday. When children feel valued of course they will pay back with such behaviour that is expected of them. Creativity in children ... it is so very important to be expressed and to allow the children’s creative mind lead any kind of program will always result in greatness and the children are always leading the way at Gumleaf Gully, whilst remaining open and exposed to implementations by their leaders too. I love teaching there each Tuesday mornings, it is my favourite time of the week! Miss Justine x

Such a wonderful service! My children have attended Gumleaf Gully over the past 5yrs & have had such positive experiences. The staff are so caring, I know they are in good hands.The new centre manager Sandy is so wonderful to deal with & there is a lot of flexibility & understanding within the centre environment.

Such an amazing little childcare centre. My son has been attending since he was 18 months old, the staff are all wonderful and it has a lovely natural setting. My son loves the little car track outside and watching the fire trucks next door.

Miss Tanya has fostered a beautiful, warm relationship with son and I have been so pleased with the quality program she has delivered this year.
