I’ve revisited this place recently, and I’ve got to say that it’s the most promising Filipino (and Asian) restaurant in Townsville I’ve been to in a while, and I will definitely get out of my way to patronise such a great mom-and-pop store. Very refreshing new choices with their menu that often have new special items (follow their Facebook where they post). It needs to be said as well that the quality of the food is great but even more distinctly impressive is the great service you get every time, even walking your food to your car when you wait, genuinely second to none from what I’ve experienced in Townsville. Due to being (I suspect) a family business, service can be slightly delayed at peak times but it’s definitely understandable and the quality of the food is great because you know you are getting everything fresh and straight off the pan!Be it if you are craving for their bubble waffles (the most underrated dessert option in Townsville) or their Filipino/Asian options (their ramen is great and somewhat semi cult-status it seems in the city with endless amounts of locals raving about it through word-of-mouth), I personally believe that you won’t be disappointed! If you are looking for more conventional Western options, or wanting to try something unique with new Filipino options, would highly recommend Cecil’s!

This was a really great experience here, I just really, really wish that they had contactless check in.For COVID restrictions, check in is by filling in a bit of paper on a shared clipboard which presents two issues - one, it's a shared item that cannot be easily sanitised, and two, you can see everyone's contact details, so privacy isn't well protected. (If not for this, I would rate this 5 stars)Parking is nice and easy, with multiple parks available at the front. Access is easy as well with nice wide doors. Card payments are preferred with no minimum transaction.While in store, I sampled a range of different meals, all of which were prepared to a high standard and had great taste. Speed of service was very good (food ready in under 5 minutes), with the exception of the waffles (15 minutes), but the wait time for the waffles is well expected as they are prepared fresh in front of you in the instore waffle makers. There is no reheating or microwaves here! They are fresh, soft and crispy. Absolutely wonderful!Staff are very friendly as well, and they have both dine in and take away options. Would happily visit again.

Cecils Sweet Treat is an amazing restaurant with delicious asian treats aswell, I always take the cheese waffles or the palabok with my sister ♡.Always deserved 5-star!The atmosphere is great, and the hygiene is great too including the staff's kindness torwards customersEver since the store was released, it began to be on my #1 best n- favourite restaurant!

One of the best, if not the best Filipino restaurant in Townsville. Quite an expansive menu, very authentic flavors and at a reasonable price. Love that they offer traditional Filipino dishes as well as Filipino fast food/comfort food!

I had the ramen with my hubby and our youngest had a waffle cone. The ramen was so wholesome and yummy I finished it off and could have had more and the waffle cone was amazing. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Will be going back!

Wow! The food here is amazing. We ordered the Ramen and spicy pork sizzling plate, both were so tasty and cooked perfectly. Great portion sizes for the price. Their bubble waffle cones are to die for, they make the waffle cones fresh to order, served warm with ice cream and toppings of choice. The store is very clean and has nice tables and chairs to sit at in air conditioning, and the staff are very friendly. We will definitely come back to this place to try out more of their menu. If you haven’t tried this place before then you’re missing out!
