Mukka Indian Restaurant
Dropped in without a booking for three this week. Very welcoming and the food and atmosphere seriously good (tasting also very authentic according to my dining companion/s who spent 30 something years travelling to India). It's the first finer dining experience (rather than the standard Melbourne cheap 'n cheerful Indian joint) I've had with this cuisine. Everything from the menus, photography and murals in the restaurant plus the lovely booths and outdoor seating area. And the service was very attentive, friendly and sweet. I have been recommending this place to family and friends since I dined here this week - almost a bit too good for its location. You won't be disappointed.

Mukka Indian Restaurant
Went on a quiet Tuesday night. We waited over 40 minutes for our food to be served, after pointing out to the waitstaff that kitchen seemed to be giving priority to later arrivals. And the quality of the food was far below what I was expecting. The Chicken Tikka was bland,and the Bharta way too salty. Very disappointed! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are better choices in the area.

Food was nice with standouts being mushroom tandoori with spicy mint sauce , coconut rice and the mango drink with almond and pistachio although ask for it without ice.The paneer tandoori was okay and malai kofta a bit too heavy.All food was warm and seemed fresh but the service is way too slow.Took almost 50 minutes with priority being given to take away orders instead of dine in. Staff service can also be improved at times.Good to go but just be willing to wait and ask for all food at once but a bit pricey.

It was a sheer delight to dine at Mukka 2.0, St Kilda. The authentic flavours took us back to India, their team of chefs are magical. I am glad we tried the food and enjoyed every bit of it. Authentic Flavours, Food Quality, friendly service and delightfully pleasing ambiance was spot on!

Holy shirt-balls! This place has without doubt THE BEST Butter Chicken I've ever eaten. The naans are big too, and general portions are all plentiful. If you're a fan of Indian food, please visit. You won't regret it.

Really yum food. As a vegetarian North Indian, I loved to see Kachori on the menu as it's delicious and it was delicious. The portions were ample and the place was packed. Loved the paan cocktail too.

I don't know how people are rating this restaurant very high. In my opinion this restaurant is below average and prices are charged for fine done.Let me start with the plates, their plates tried to match their theme but very bad quality, you try to eat out of this plate and plate spins on the spot. Family of three cost us $125. And was served with cheap cutlery and paper napkins.Now about food, kati kabab was so dry you will keep chewing and take water aid to swallow. Pav bhaji had a tiny bit of bhaji two dry pavs never seen face of the butter. Bhaji is barely enough to eat with one pav. Mango lassi was watery and had no taste or texture of yoghurt.There are far better options for indian food within 200m of the restaurant. If you are going there because of your experience in st Kilda then this is a big disappointment and no where close to their st Kilda branch.

Mukka is the best Indian restaurant in Melbourne, thanks to its authentic and delicious cuisine and the owner's incredible hospitality. The dishes are bursting with flavour and made with fresh ingredients, and the owner goes above and beyond to ensure a great dining experience. The ambience is really good, making it a great spot for lunch or dinner with friends. Highly recommended!
