We absolutely loved the look and feel of this place. Very warm, inviting atmosphere specially on a summer morning sitting at the back deck close to the greenery. Food was good too, but a bit on the expensive side. We were there for brunch and ordered a big breakfast and a vegetarian medley and some coffee which costed over $80. Scrambled tofu on the toasted sourdough was nice but the flavours were a little bit overpowering. The potato rosti in the big breakfast was also good but was a bit hard. Resturant was very busy, make sure to make a reservation and note there is a surcharge on Saturday. Finally the staff was great , smiling and helpful. I give 5 stars for the restaurant and 4 for the Food. Highly recommended to try.

Sasafras has a place called Ripe CafeTheir coffee is out of this world!We visited on a busy SaturdayThe food made my world swirled!From poached eggs on toastTo divine bird seed barsThis cafe can definitely boastThat they deserve five stars!

This place was disappointing. The main issue is portion.For $26, the burger (with wedges included) adding bacon (an extra $3) totals to $29. Add a 10% surcharge on a Sunday and this burger is the most expensive burger I’ve had in Melbourne.I counted a total of 9.5 wedges with the burger.For the price charged one would expect a lot more.The second issue is the quality of the food:- patty was over cooked in some areas (slightly burnt).-bun was very averageThe staff and service was very good, and constructive feedback was given to the cashier noting the feedback will go back to the kitchen.

Great and family friendly cafe! Very nice service and food there is lovely. We had the cheese burger with a special tomato based sauce which I like most. Also the linguine marina (should be marinara) with prawn is delicious with big portion. Coffee is a must at this cafe and we finished with a nice affogato !

Had a superb breakfast here with family on 29 December. They were busy and warned us that the food may take a little longer than normal… we still all had our food in just over 9 minutes. The waitstaff were polite and attentive. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone.

well portioned and delicious Breakfast.Good value for money and very attentive and kind service.They use high quality ingredients. Liked their smashed avo. I wish they had more variety in their menu for breakfast.Love the outdoor seating area.

We ordered the cheese burger and birds nest rosti. The burger was good, but chips was just ok, can be more crispy. The portion of the rosti was too small - it wouldn’t be enough if you’re hungry.Staffs were attentive, but food was on the pricey side.
