Surf Beach Holiday Park

Great location, over priced for quality of park. $65 a night for a gravel powered caravan site. We have stayed in better quality parks for $40 a night.

The service is very ordinary and the cabin looks tired. There was no Wi-Fi from day one, when we reported the issue, we were told it would take up to 48 hours to get an answer as why, and no communication from the property in any way afterwards, I followed up on the 3rd day and was told it should be available the next day, which didn’t happen, and on the 4th day I went and followed up again, this time I was told the issue couldn’t be resolved, would it be reasonable to at least to keep us updated rather than having us kept going to the reception and looking for an answer? Especially every visit to the reception seemed to be a punt whether the door would be open and anyone would be there. We reported the globe outside the cabin didn’t work, it still wasn’t working when we checked out 5 days later, although I reminded them of the issue in between. The shower curtain was that long and the bottom of it takes up more than half of the shower base. We couldn’t use the door of the main bedroom which is next to the bed, because there was absolutely no room for it to swing open or shut. When I questioned the manager the “Transaction Fee” on the emailed receipt, I was told it was for using credit card, although there wasn’t any notification and not a word was given to me when the face to face transaction occurred, she assured me it’s for all transactions for everyone uses credit card, despite the fact that I know there was a transaction didn’t have such charge.

We stayed here for 3 nights in beach front A cabin. We arrived a little after 3.00 pm and the keys were left in a box outside office as they were closing the office early that day. Communication was nice and clear and we had no problem with the check-in. The cabin was a bit dated with a glitchy AC and bad internet.. but was clean and offered a comfortable stay for a family of 4. The kitchen was fully equipped with a gas stove and utensils to cook for a family of 4. We had partial view to the beach and the tiny lake formation but really the beach and lake was just a few steps away and easily accessible. It’s a stunning surf and sunrise beach, very clean and hardly any people when we visited in December. There was a surfing patrol in this part of the beach and it also had a direct view to montage island. All amenities were a km away and easily accessible by car. A nice cafe down the beach too. The cafe is in a fantastic spot for a nice morning coffee and breakfast. Totally recommend this place for its location. We will definitely visit again.

We booked 4 nights, around $200 per night for a pet-friendly cabin (Paradise 5) which needs a clear upgrade and maintenance URGENT! Clear lack of cleaning and space.It states you can fit 6 people but max you could fit 4 people.The system allowed us to book pet friendly for the week before Christmas, we paid for it but then we find out we could not bring our dog. While we were there there was a family with two dogs of the leash and the reception staff was denying it.I won't be staying there again! Poor service and communication

It is a nice place if you are staying with family and the best part is it has a lot of facilities and the surf beach is walking distance. The rooms are clean and very well kept but a tiny bit small. Overall I loved staying here and there are nearby shops and restaurants to eat from.

Couple with pooch. We stayed in a dog friendly cabin which had beach views due to low season and no campers parked in the front. Great view and we could hear the ocean in bed. Easy walk to the beach and town. Older style basic small cabins but the trade off was that they are dog friendly. My better half wasn't happy with the cleanliness but I thought it was OK. OK for 2 nights.

Such a lovely resort. Everything you needed for a comfortable stay and in a perfect location. Only down fall was that it was hard to get in contact with staff to confirm booking prior to stay.

Location is incredible. 50m to a stunning beach (and we came in winter).We stayed in a newly renovated cabin and it was awesome. Best cabin we’ve stayed in.The best part was Libby called me and explained I’d booked a pet friendly cabin which was fine but offered the chance to move to a renovated cabin (which she explained was nicer). The extra $20 was definitely worth it.

The parks fine but these people never reply to emails or answer the phone; really bad if you need to ask a question on a booking! The phone has a recorded message sorry we are out busy in the park"- try it!"

Location perfect.Check in/out was simple and staff very friendly.Paradise cabin - clean and basic (as expected for a caravan park).Common area very clean, no concerns at all.Overall very happy with our stay and hopefully the previous issues raised have been dealt with. Highly recommended and location cannot be beaten.
