Apollo's Fish And Chips
We ate hamburgers and chips and this establishment on a Sunday night. Service was great and the atmosphere in the shop is very 70s and funky. This shop was busy but they were pushing the orders out quickly and efficiently. Chips were cooked well. Potato cakes had a nice crunchy batter but a little oily and home made which is hard to find these days. Hamburgers not the best but still nice. Patties heavily over spiced with dried herbs which took away from the natural flavour of the hamburger fillings. Overall a place I would visit again if in town but would try something different!

Apollo's Fish And Chips
This fish and chips place is a few mins away from Bollarat Wildlife Park (BWT). Went there for lunch after our own mini tour at BWP. For just AUD $9, you get a super generous portion of fish and chips, which 2 of us were not able to finish. We chose chicken salt (can't remember the other salt they asked), and everything was amazing. Staff were nice and friendly!

American diner style layout, complete with booth tables, walls lined with photos of famous American actors and singers, Rock and Roll music on tv and in the background. $12.00 for fresh burger, mountain of chips and can of drink (see pic). Food very tasty. Extremely polite and friendly staff. Strongly recommend for a stop in before or after visiting Eureka museum.

BEST FISH & CHIPS shop in Victoria. I live in Melbourne I was told of a fish and chip shop in Ballarat under new ownership. I was told last year never to go there; I was visiting a friend in Ballarat this week. He told me about the same shop with new owners, was great. I was very reluctant to go with him, but I did, WOW Large serving size fish and chips cooked beautifully. Met the new owner he is a nice person, Staff happy to be at work. Shop clean, and tidy. Tv and photos on the walls, my friend and myself were looking at photos and they had ABBA playing on the TVs it is very nice. The food was ready in no time, I have changed my mind, it’s the BEST FISH & CHIPS shop in Victoria. I told the owner to open a shop in Melbourne, he smiled. Can’t wait to go again love this place.

Sadly our first visit was very slow. Having to wait 40 mins for a basic order of fish, sausage and chips. Would of Been nice to be told if they have had a large order being cooked, instead of taking our order then making us wait a long time.

Apollos for fish and chips is the Best, a bit crowded if you sit in. its always extremely busy, which meant it the BEST, but the wait was worth it. When we got it home we saw how much food there was. It was golden. The chips could have fed 5 easily. The fish was a very nice size.I would recommend this place for fish and chips take out.

I bought fish and chips regularly from here Up till it closed for renovations and repairs if I remember correctly it had to do with a mine shaft either way soon as it opens I will be one of the first in to grab a souvlaki and some hot chip's I live only a minute away from the best fish and chips in Australia

Good old fashion F&Cs! Serves are good value and good quality. Butter fish has been excellent. Make a great bunless burger for the glutards. Just ask for a burger with two patties on the outside.

I really liked the old school feeling, unlike the new modern fish and chip shops. Keeping with that theme the style of the place is like a dinner and the ssrvings are massive.
