Gabba Gearboxes

Repaired a leak on my gearbox when it was sent to them from another shop. It still had a small leak 2 weeks later. I called and booked it directly with them they fixed it workout charge because it was the same leak. Honest service, on time. They could have charged me and said it was something else but they didn't. I really appreciate the honesty.

Every places nightmare! A half home stripped manual transmission, which is a 15 year old Race special 6 speed made in tiny numbers...Nev took 1 look knew instantly what it was, gave no nonsense advice carried out complete strip, advice and professional work and rebuild in less than agreed time, for peanuts, AND supplied all items removed in true old school mechanic style. I use many specialists on unique cars but will go nowhere else in future - awesome in all respects.

Had them tell me I needed a recon kit for $2000 and it made the same noises when I left . They told me that I need new gears aswell. Robery

Our VW Polo's gearbox exploded and we were recommended to Gabba Gearboxes by our mechanic who we completely trust.We live out in the sticks and it's a 7 hours return trip but it was completely worth the journey. They fixed our gearbox perfectly in three days and slightly under budget. Their after sales service was excellent and they called me several times to make sure that the gearbox was working properly - unfortunately, this VW gearbox repair always necessitates a trip to VW for a computer upgrade.Our car is running as well as it did before and we couldn't be happier with Gabba Gearboxes.I read some of the bad reviews on here and, honestly, that was not our experience. Please don't be put off by them. Unfortunately, many people don't leave good reviews because they take good service for granted. It's not the same when you have a bad experience, sadly, and I think these guys are missing a whole lot of excellent reviews.I would use Gabba Gearboxes again in a heartbeat.

Still waiting for a reply. They don’t answer the phones and when we put in a contact request via the website we got no response

I just hopped on the phone to this company and didn't even get a chance to explain what issue I was experiencing. I was straight away bullied on the phone, spoken to in way that was demeaning and was told that he didn't want the job before he even knew what I was trying to say. So unprofessional and nasty. Boooo

Brought mn triton in for a rear diff rebuild. service was great and had it all done in 2 days, car feels much better and juke was easy to talk to .Would highly recommend thankyou.

I went to Gabba gearbox in 27 Hampton road to get my Nissan navara gearbox repaired.I found a nice young fellow by the name of Duke who was very polite and friendly and very knowledgeable person . They done a great job on great job on my car ,I would certainly recommend them to fix your gearbox problem's at a reasonable price.

I had the diff and wheel bearings rebuilt 6 months ago for a mechanic now to tell me the bearings are damaged and the diff oil is full of metal and needs fixing. I definitely would not go there again. My car is my business and I need it to be fixed right the first time.

I rang these guys on Friday afternoon about having an exchange gear box fitted and the guy I spoke to said bring it in Monday. Also had a new clutch fitted job was finished lunch time Tuesday. Feels like new again and a very fair price.Cheers Troy
